    i doubt you would gain 15kw... 5kw sounds about right.. i havent seen these for the ecotec but it would definately be a good modification to do if you can find a place that makes them.. especially if you drive at high rpm all the time it will save your alternator and power steering pump etc...

    if i was you id keep my eye out for a L67 and put the T5 behind that xD otherwise just get an ecotec... its only a few hundred bucks and you can just put it straight in without worrying about all the wiring...

    i have been reading up on chassis stiffening and seam welding lately and was wondering if anyone else has done this to their VS or any other commodore for that matter.. i assume it would make quite a bit of difference as whenever i go over speed humps or up a driveway i get squeeks and rattles...

    i think 4.11 is overkill... you will be reving to 3000 rpm at 100km/h.. i have 3.7 in my v6 and it feels alot better.. i recommend 3.7's also i wouldnt get a mini spool on a street car.. in the wet it will be practically undrivable.. not to mention the tyres you'll go through... good tight lsd...

    does your car have IRS?.. if it does then yes i would definately get a camber kit when lowering it... the camber is bad enough at stock height.. otherwise you'll end up having to get new tyres much more frequently than you should. my car is lowered about 2.5" at the front and 4" at the rear...

    VR exhaust not loud enough need some muffler ideas

    i recommend just getting a straight through rear muffler as to me this sounds best.. two hot dogs would also sound good but a bit louder and not as deep... if you get pulled over cops can easily see the rear muffler and will just assume you have a front muffler if you have a rear one... lol...

    yea the manual engine has the cam angle sensor too... it just isnt plugged into anything.. you'll need to put a spigot bush in the crankshaft for the input shaft of the gearbox to sit in.. the auto engine wont have that in there.. and the bracket on the bottom of the engine that the gearbox...

    you will need to drill a hole and weld a bung onto it... the sump is way too thin to tap a thread into. if you cant weld maybe take the sump off and get a bung and even just take it to an exhaust shop... im sure they would weld it on for you.. would only take them 2 minutes.

    lol im not saying you shouldnt get two hotdogs... just telling you it wont be legal... in my opinion it'll sound nice with 2 hotdogs.. it might drone slightly though... my exhaust set up is hurricane headers, standard cat and 2.5" catback with straight through rear muffler only.. sounds better...

    i'm not sure if a hotdog is really classified as a muffler as it doesnt do much muffling lol.. the reason why it'll be illegal is because with one or two hotdogs its still gonna be louder than the legal limit.. i dont know what the legal limit is but i know that it's gonna be louder than it...
