09 ve sv6 sports active mode help

Probably it is a gear selector sensor thing. If it is under warranty, I would suggest you go to the dealer and get it fixed.

What is the right process to bleed brakes, Is scan tool required to bleed ABS system?

I agree that Redline comes with Brembos, but I don't think that they have different brake master-cylinder, as the ALL VE's comes with AP-Racing (Brembo's Brithish division I guess) brake master-cylinders and PBR's (who ever they are) brake calipers & pads. And by the way, I did a manual brake...

I know it's only an Omega

I'm in the same situation. I can't sell it, otherwise I will lose alot. However, I was considering a full repaint job to restore it. I already maintained it mechanicaly very well, and changed the speakers, but kept the original amplifier. In my openion, I think that the headunit can power any...

Ve v6 Strange shaking at highway speeds

Hi. The first picture is for the bushing that solved the issue for me. The second one is for the diagram of the location. Look at number 2. If the one you found in your car is the same as the picture, that means that you have iron suspension. If it was different, then it is an aluminium suspension.

Ve v6 Strange shaking at highway speeds

I think I know what your car is doing. I had the same issue with mine (2009 Commodore V - V6 - Auto-4spd.). I have spent a lot of time to diagnose the bloody thing. Replaced Rotors (worn-out anyway), rear left and right spindles, and balancing the tires. Still did nothing to the vibrations...

    gearbox **** itself @ 47,000km on my ss-v

I had the same issue. Out of warranty, and the car has done about 72000 Km (4speed Auto). I was driving in the highway (cruise control at 118Km/H) when the traffic slowed down to 60-ish Km/H, then it freed up again. So, I set the cruise control on again, and the car accelerates on third gear to...

Gearbox, To Change or Not To Change?

Hi everyone. I have a Chevrolet Lumina S (Holden Commodore SV6 - but it's really an Omega with SV6 kit, the wheels even at 17"), not modified in any way (In stock - Factory specs) I just had a gearbox issue this afternoon. The thing is I was driving with the speed limiter on at (110 Km/H)...

300Watt AC Inverter blew fuse on center console power source?

I have a Black & Decker 200W inverter and it is working well. I have read the manual and it says that you should NOT plug a device which uses more than 100W when your plug the inverter into AUX 12V socket. However, if you want to plug a device with more than a 100W you have to plug the inverter...

    SSV vs E63 AMG ..

In my opinion, I think that they should jusk make the SV6's and all V8's rev up to 7000-8000 rpm. And keep the standard 6000 rpm for the entry levels. I think you will pull 360 hp easly from a V6 and 580 from a V8. Why can't any one do it?

    New Front/Rear speakers - VE 2007 SS

Thanks for warning me. I never thought of that. The only problem I have is I love the way that sound comes from the sides "Surround" not from the back only. Doing thee side doors with an Amp needs a lot of wiring. And to be honest it doesn't worth it. I say for people like me, just replace the...

    New Front/Rear speakers - VE 2007 SS

Sorry, but It really annoys me "sometimes". About the Standard wiring, I happened to extend the rear side doors speaker wires and I connected it to a 22" Speaker taken from the Sony HiFi System. I placed it on the seats and fastened it's seat belts so they stay where they are. After all, it...

    New Front/Rear speakers - VE 2007 SS

Hi. I have the best solution for every one. I think you shouldn't rip the center console speakers and just put a little bit of UHU glue or some tape on the edges of the speaker cone. As for the side doors speakers, you should get a new ones that are powerful enough to satisfy your NEEDS. I...

    potenza tyres

I'm running now on Perilli P Zero Nero. 235/55/R17. It's the best I've ever owned. I was impressed by it's traction on the dry and wet. And best of all, Although I drift with this tires it never worn out. I recommend Perilli P Zero and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. My Perilli cost me 280 each. I...

Calling all VE SS Manual owners low rev range problem

I have the EXACT same problem, but I don't have a V8. I have an SV6 09. I have done 45k, and going to service the car soon. It does really annoy me. I'll go to Chevrolet Dealership soon (cause I'm in Saudi).

    Display audio problem

I have an SV6 09 with the same problem. I've had the car for 2 years and some monthes. When I start the car, the stereo screen don't work for about 5-10 sconds. And that's it. It did happen to me about 4-7 times only. I don't think you should turn off the car and get out of it ! Any way, only...
