245/40/19 just barely touched the front strut and touched the unrolled rear guards over bumps on my SVZ sedan but that was with ssl's. 235/35/19s solved all my problems. Looks better too.

Its usually replaces as a whole assembly. No need to take it apart

Glove box, rear ceiling lights, centre console and boot light are all Festoon bulbs. I think 36mm. Dome/sunglass holder lights are BA9s Globes Rear number plate lights are T10 wedge globes Ive replaced every single globe in my car(except headlights) with LED globes. Hope that helps

All VZ grills (except obviously HSV) are exactly the same weather it be Exec, Calais or SS or anything inbetween. Dont let someone try sell you an 'SS' grill for more than a executive one. They are identicle. Only different ones are the aftermarket ones.

My radio still works(barely) with the ariel not even plugged it so should work with the ariel down just not as well as it usually would. Should just be able to disconnect the wire that activates the ariel motor from back of headunit and it will stay down.

I swapped an engine over about 12 months ago and havent had any problems. I kept the same ecu and engine together. I didnt bother to check if the numbers were the same though. I used the engine, gearbox, engine loom and ecu all from the doner vehicle and all works perfectly.

Was about to ask the same question lol. They look good and alot cheaper than i expected.

Struts will fit but may need to change to VZ sway bar links aswell as earlier models use the bolt through type and most VZ use the double ball joint type.

Battery is only 10 months old and its a good quality red top, it shouldnt be stuffed but has 3 year warrantly so cant hurt to get them to test it. Cheers diysv6 ill give them a try on pay day. Keep any suggestions coming ill try anything till it works lol

The fog light housing is still there just the lense/reflector seems to be missing. Are they genuine? The front must just unclip from the housing.

Yes the SV6 will light up aswell as SS, Calais, Statos and HSV's. Dont think any others do from factory.

I could be wrong but i think the wiring is all there its just the clock spring doesnt have the contact for them. Change to Calais clock spring and should be good. Im sure someone will correct me if im wrong.

Hi guys I want to fit a set of 19x9 +40 to the rear of my VZ Sedan on SSSL's with rolled guards. Anyone know if they will fit ok? Might be able to go +35 offset if i really need to. Also what size tyres would you recommend? 255/35/19? Cheers James

Well if its standard hight you can fit whatever you want and they wont rub. Wont need to roll the guards unless you plan on lowering to ssl or sssl.

How low is your car? Shouldnt have to roll your guards for 18"s. Mine is sitting on ssl and even with 19"s mine only rubs if ive got rear passengers and go over a speed bump.

How many K's? Could be either fuel or spark. Pull one of your plugs out and have a look. Also check fuel filter isnt clogged up. and pull intake off and make sure the TB and Maf sensor are both clean as the electronic throttle get get sticky if its too dirty

Hmm thats interesting. Mine actually had orange globes. I just reused them in the stato indicators.

Should have had the orange globes in there already. Previous owner must have put the wrong globes in there.

Yes they come out the same way although i think its forward instead of back on the later models. No mods needed they are plug and play. I changed mine to the Stato ones a couple months ago on my SVZ.

Yeah I plan on changing mine to blue with white needles when I decide on which cluster to get.

As far as i can tell it looks like just the speedo. Level 2 goes to 240km/h and level 3 goes to 260km/h. Some good information there but can see a few mistakes. Where it says type 1,2,3 is that refering to the level of cluster? Is that from the Holden Manual?
