cheers guys. its all starting to make sence now. there was a loud sucking sort of noise when the crack was there, but since i taped it up the car is running fine now. a mafless tune and a OTR is on the cards sometime so i will wait till then to sort that out.

hey, how does the coolant system warning light know when to come on. does it measure the pressure level in the system; so if theres a leak the pressure will drop and the car will know the level is dropping? cheers

hey, anyone know if those hyclones are any good? know a couple of guys who have them in hilux's and 4x4's but had anyone ever tried one in a commodore at all? the guys with their sub 100kw diesels say they work well and they can notice a difference. so add one to an LS1 and i will be laughing.

mine has started doing something like that. brakes have only been on for a couple of months and now when i brake very softly there is a rubbing sound until i brake sort of hard. getting it serviced soon, should be right.

well its all sorted. left it on the charger overnight and got it checked the next day - the auto electrictian couldn't find anything wrong. left it last night off the charger and checked it this morning - nothing. started fine like nothing had happened. bit of a puzzle.

hey, just had a little scare with my VT. drove it yesterday and worked fine, went to start it today (about 24hours after i last used it) and there was no power at all. jump started it and its running fine. it has a new battery, just been serviced and roadworthied and all so i'm sorta stumped...

neat job. you might have just convinced me to get a sound system in mine, the headers and cam might have to wait for now.....

anyone know what rpms the 3.9's sit at when crusing at around 60, 80 or 100km/h?

i have an auto with 3.08 gears. dont do alot of highway driving. living in darwin atm so its mainly just driving around there. not over 100 much of the time. after the new gears to wake the car up a bit. you said it would go thru first quickly on a manual, how would the 3.9s go in an auto?

hey, i have a VT SS 5L. what would be a good choice of diff gears to start with - 3.7's or 3.9's? have heard 3.55's dont really make too much of a difference. 3.7's seam to be the way to go but would 3.9's to too short for starters? what have you guys with some knowledge on this found...

these are the first few things i'm after exhaust roller rockers 355 stroker kit w/cam that suits it diff gears and a tune are the first things on my mind. at this stage what are the best diff gears to suit this setup.

so the VT uses a hydrulic clutch and previous models use a cable. can i use any type of T5 gearbox say from a VN-VS or do i need a vt model gearbox?
