You cant beat the instant throttle response of forced induction. I drive around at 2 -3k , cams dont even work until 4k. Why bother...

Shame you arnt in WA, we do what we want over here..... Forced induction is the go, the rest just wastes fuel and raises the peak HP RPM.

The extra safety features of the VF is what makes it better than the VE. I own both. With chain , engine light will come on, then get noisier and noisier and then fail...

A friend of mine had a supercharger on a VE R8 auto with about 500 -550 rwhp. Killed the clutch plates in the auto. Sold it and put the supercharger on VF R8 (manual) tuned to 550 -600rwhp, no issues. The V8 holden auto boxes can only be pushed so far.

My First VE 3.45 diff come from a VE man. The bloke changed to 3.70. second diff on my VF was genuine gears changed at 8000ks. 6th in auto is 0.67. 6 speed man is 0.57. So man with 3.45 is 1538rpm. SO VS 5.0 is spot on

Did some calcs 6th 100kph 2.92 = 1539rpm. 6th 100kph 3.45 = 1818rpm. SO 279 extra RPM in 6th with gear change. So goes from 6Th 65/1000rpm to 55/1000rpm To put it is perspective my F6 with 3.73 rear and 6 speed manual is 1923rpm at 100kph. Hey if you keep standard gearing you can go...

So lets say before with 2.92 in 6th I was doing 100 kph at 1850 rpm. Now with 3.45 at 100 kph Iam doing 2000rpm. Or something like that, worked it out once but cant find it, and cant be bothered doing it again.

Post on Gumtree mate. Anyone with a Redline should snap these up. I run these on both my commodores, taken to the track, cant kill them, awesome discs. You want to spend less cash, good luck, you will end up with cheap crap.

I worked it out once 100 or 150 rpm. SFA. An VE SV6 auto will have 2.92 rear. VF has 6 speed auto /man and 3.27. VE SS has 3.45 man and 2.92 auto. VF SS has 2.92 auto and 3.45 man, VF2 has 3.27 auto and 3.70 man. 3.7 is Man ratio. Could have , but 3.45 seems about right.

I changed both my auto VE and VF from 2.92 to 3.45. Made a huge difference.

Its MAX torque with no corrections. To put it in perspective, when my F6 had 400rwkw it made 820 NM "derived torque". Now at nearly 480rwkw it makes well over 1000NM. Chiron figures are at the engine. A friend used same mainline dyno on his VF 325kw R8 (stock) and got 235 Rwkw and 410 NM...

Just hold your foot flat to the floor while cranking engine to build up oil pressure for a couple of lots of 5 seconds. Then on the third time take foot off, car will start...

Go to the 3M site and look for suggestions Maybe a goo remover to soften it up. Just watch what ever you use doesnt damage the paint

Well said. VE VF SS isnt really a performance car. Its just a great car. I have one of each and absolutely luv driving the VF. Best car I have owned, so many safety features makes it a great seat for many hours of driving. I only buy holdens and fords, so I dont car about Kia's.
