I would speak to your tuner about getting the tune modified to try and remove the rough idle... Have heard this can be adjusted in a tune (to an extent), as for reducing the sound by 2db surely you can go to an exhaust shop and they may have an old muffler lying around they can weld in for you?

Not a hard job to remove it... Injectors are cheap ( i have some here just need new hosetails) ive just done the conversion from non turbo to turbo..... stil pretty simple. I'd get a N/A VL turbo (higher compression engine) or a N/A non turbo vl that you can turbo after you get off your p's.

Hey all, Have put a catch can on my rb30, it is vented (track car, so doesnt matter). I have removed the PCV valve from the plenum but trying to track down the thread size of this valve, I am after a barbed fitting to screw into it's place (either 6mm, 3mm or 1/4 barb) for my boost gauge...

You can plug it back in, if this is for a regency inspection I was told by my tuner that in the recent years they have been unplugging maf's to check whether it triggers the warning light on in the dash... if not, no pass.

Oh Really? Are they in the same spots as the above image? Could you take a pic of yours? I have siliconed the bolts where the garnish bolts up and just behind the garnish, which reduced the water quite significantly but not 100%.

Yeah found out tonight after buying 2 new studs (smaller length) that after sitting the manifold on it's going to hit on the bottom studs. So will need to put smaller ones in anyway, gonna buy another 10 tomorrow. :)

I was told that if you unplug the afm it wont rev past 2k and goes into limp home mode. EDIT: Also, the above air regulator fix actually corrected the issue. It no longer sputters on cold start and revs fine, runs well now. And it did die the same as it was previously with the AFM unplugged...

I had the same issue with my r31 skyline. It turned out to be the Air Regulator was shut. Air Regulator - R31info I dont know if vl's have them but, undo the small nut in the picture, put a screwdriver in the air regulator and pull the nut towards the front of the car, then tighten it up. Hope...

Rip it out and put a multimeter on the pump terminals/wire and see if it has power? Could be a blown fuel pump fuse even, or bad wiring or a relay

Think i fixed it, wil have to see when it is dead cold again.. Air Regulator - R31info It may have been this all along. Just unscrew the bolt, slide it towards you and enlarge the hole, voila! Still unsure as the car had been run in the last 2 hours but will see tomorrow morning!

Alright so, I replaced the coolant temp sensor and the plug as the wires were frayed. Re-soldered a newie from the wrecker and put a new sensor on. Cut the rusted rear muffler out too, it sounded like sand when you rolled it around, terrible! Bled the coolant and topped her up :) After it...
