Thanks for your reply.
I'm thinking of using a 9" diff and I'm sure that some vehicles with 9" diff's also have ABS so if thats the case I should be able to get the whole thing put together... I think the newest ABS modules are tied up with the BCM so I was thinking of going for something out...
Hey guys
I know this question has been asked before (eg: http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/vr-vs-holden-commodore-1993-1997/154902-abs-brakes.html), usually by people that don't realise its actually something hard to do and that give up but I'm pretty keen on the idea so here goes.
I'm...
Hey
First of all I'd like to state that I'm no auto electrician, just some bloke with crazy ideas, big aims and a bit of common sence.
Basically, I want to fit a VY dash (including steering wheel) into a VT Commodore S-pack [began it's journey as the supercharged model] (both sedans)...
ITEM: 1995 Holden VS Utility (S-Pack & VT motor)
LOCATION: Sydney, NSW
YEAR: 1995 S-Pack
SERIES: VS
BADGE: S-Pack
ENGINE: Original motor was having problems so it was ripped out and upgraded to a 1998 motor from a VT
TRANSMISSION: Auto

After almost a year of my car being off the road it looks like it will be ready near the end of March, if this is the case I would be happy to do the drive up from Sydney
Hey, dont start having a go at me buddy, its only fair to tell people that its going to be illegal as is.
The cheapest reputable self levelling I've found is DAKOTA DIGITAL SELF LEVELLING SYSTEM WITH HEIGHT SENSORS - DW Customs however yeah I'm sure you could probably find it for around $1000...
If your looking to have it street legal your going to need self-levelling which is around an extra $1500 and then the engineers certificate and obviously installation.
Ah well it wasn't exactly the hardest process and it took me quiet a few hours and its nothing that the regular person couldn't do. I basically just rolled the guards, fitted spacers, longer wheel threads (as when I finally got the wheels on with the old threads I got about 1 turn on the nut)...
If you watched the news the other day, about half or more of the toll lanes aren't actually taking photo's or issuing fines if you travel through without an etag. I'm sure you'll be able to find the story if you dig around the news archives.
Heh, I'll post my time up once I get to the track... I might be one of the first to put my times up!
Too bad i wont be heading to the track till like march, but still!
Hey guys,
I've got a couple of simple questions that I just wanted to ask...
I've got a 1995 VS Ute and the owner before me has wired up the fan to start when the ignition is turned on, so its always running when the motor is. I just went past the wreckers to pick up some stuff and he...
Nice work! When I opened the thread I was expecting to see another half stocker but I love the clean paint job and the boot install is immaculate. Once again, Nice work!
Hey man,
Sweet first car!
As with mine I had a ton of ideas running through my head and wound up with a $7,000 stereo system... My advice would be set yourself a budget before you start doing anything, or you'll end up spending too much cash and upgrading the same parts more than once!
In...
Very nice clean looking car, definate approval there... Although everyone here seems to be loving the front, personally I just don't like it... Don't know what it is, it looks real neat and classy but it just doesn't get there for me... Top work though!
Hey guys-
Sorry I've been absent, the world doesn't want me to finish this car but I'm determined!
The rims are 19x8 at the front so they practically bolt straight on (although due to my camber I had the tyres hitting the strut) but the rears are 19x9.5 (with 275 tyres) so it was a little...
