Hi all Can anyone tell me how to install a speed alert into my vr acclaim. I have the speed alert box thing that goes into the dash surround that I have cut out. But i'm not sure about the wiring, there is about 10 coloured wires on the harness and not sure where they are all ment to go.

It's a manual one mate. I think I have the wrong flywheel wheel. I bought a complete conversion and the guy f**ked me over. I asked for a 8 bolt and he sent a 6, I then asked him to send the 8 bolt and it looks like he has just found one around the wrecking yard that had 8 holes and sent that.

It could also be the harmonic balancer if there is a screeching or ticking sound.

Be careful with springs that aren't made for that brand/or model of car as you will change the slip rate on the car/ tires. You don't want this as it can cause you to lose control of your car at higher speeds around corners particularly in wet weather; best bet is to buy springs made for that car.

My ve 18s 235/40s fit on my vr, but i had to put spacers in the front to get them off the strut towers. I only have the front 30mm lowered king springs and they are a tight fit so I would go with the 18s.

Not a chance mate, they will scrub on the strut towers in the front and guards, and rub on the guards in the back wreaking all of your tyres. You will also be lucky if you are able to turn the front tyres at all.

If they are Ve rims to fit VB-VZ you will need to get 5mm spacers to clear the strut towers. I had too on my vr that is running ve caprice 18s they are 240/45s not much room under there now. Don't go any lower than 30mm if you lower it unless you roll the guards or they will scrub too
