I've got exactly the same problem with my VL, but it's the right rear blinker. Globe replaced countless times, flasher unit replaced, wiring and earth checked (at home - not professionally). Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. I hate it cause I'm just waiting for someone to run up...

The ruling from the RTA states that if there is a passenger side airbag then no child under the age of 12 can ride in the front seat. If there's no airbag, then legally, it's fine. On the odd occasion my son (5yo) goes in my husband's work van (front seats only).

Kickdown switch or could just do with a good service on the transmission. But if the guy was being shifty then I'd think it's something more serious. IMO $3.5 is exxy for a VL these days - unless in excellent condition, and $3.5k is too cheap for a VS. I'm biased, cause I do love a good...
