It's been almost 6 months since I've upated this thread, mostly due to being overseas and the fact that I had done nothing to the ute except drive it and keep her nice and tidy as I possibly could. But I update this thread bearing sad news to some and good news to others... I recently purchased...

So, it has definitely been a while since I have updated this! So much to say about the humble ute. Everything was going well with the ute, I was begin to tidy her up again. I took the monster tach out to clean up the interior, installed some rear venetians and generally made the interior nice...

If I had a big bad ass engine like this, I too would want a monster tach with a shift light flashing in my face when I am crawling on the brake hitting the limiter. Just to remind myself that the engine was built to do so....

To be 100% sure I would go and get it changed to what it actually is. Regardless of the small chance of it not mattering, it's better to be safe then sorry. Never give an insurance company an excuse to make your insurance invalid or the RTA an excuse to claim the car is inproperly registered.

In my ute my fans only come on when the A/C is on, whenever I'm in traffic or hot weather I always have the A/C on.

Yeah fair point, I bought a longer tube and it dries up very quickly. Is a bit pricey but the stuff works a treat. I've used it on my trolley strips and my door seals, can't praise it enough...

Go down to your local auto retailer and get some sikaflex automotive glue. Best stuff you can buy! Be weary though, once it dries whatever you've glued isn't gonna move ever again..

Yeah I do still like the wall look, it can be executed perfectly in the right colour combo. The thing that lets it down is it has lost all uniqueness. Oh well, next year will be something else. Sunroofs, bags, walls, door banners, what's next....

Seats look good mate, similar to mine! I reckon it really neatens up the interior. I thought mine were pretty uncomfortable when I first put them in, but I've had them in my daily driven ute for nearly 2 years now and doesn't even phase me.

Install a duel battery system. One battery jumps the other one once it is flat to start the car again...

Faaaaaaaaaaaark mate, absolutely perfect. Hands down my favourite rims Holden have brought out in the new gen commodores and they suit your ute to a T !
