    Camber bolts?

hmm. the issue is the front bottom radiator support is bent upwards, also slightly pulling in the chassis rails. I doubt there is anyway to repair that cheaply. I might just find a camber bolt for another car, just need to check out the suspension is mounted in commodores. I might not be...

    Camber bolts?

VN use a macpherson strut and thus can use a camber bolt. It just changes the position of how the bolt mounts by pushing it out or pulling it in slightly. car isn't worth any serious work on it. its crap, its old but alignment needs to be better so tyres don't overly wear.

    Camber bolts?

Where can I buy some camber bolts from my VN? I smashed it a while back and the alignment is out and need the bolts to adjust them since the car is slightly bent :P I would prefer east side, close to camberwell would be nice.

    Time to replace Tyres.

    Bridgestone re001 are highly recommended.

Your opinion is required - what are the most prone engine management parts to fail?

coolant hoses. a/c system. in my experience.

Legalities of fuel systems in the cabin

100% needs a firewall. i wouldn't drive it with this current setup.

    Which Shocks?

pedders aka Monroe are ****. spend the extra and get kybs or konis. if you wish to get some really quality shocks and that cost a bit more, bilstein is the way to go.

    Doing u-turn... mounted kerb.

getting an alignment will tell how ####ed the car is. ask them to set the front to the max settings for camber, caster and toe. this way, you ll be able to compare the differences between the LHS and RHS. then get them to set it back to stock settings. lower control arm is probably bent and...

idiots who shouldnt have a car

i remember being behind a customer that was asking for a headlight globe. he didn't know the model let alone the make of his car. he said, he would go and check. i lol'd.

    Pure Oxygen???

well, firstly it would have to be liquid oxygen for storage reasons. problems: -injection -cost -storage even liquid oxygen tanks wouldn't last long especially if you think how much air the car uses. possible in theory but not in practice. rockets use a mix of liquid oxygen and liquid...

    Ask The Copper

shaving tyres in highly illegal and dangerous. if your insurance company finds out that you have done with to your tyres and you are involved in an accident, they might deny your claim. either buy tyres that are manufactured with colored tyre walls or with no writting on the walls.

    Does this look good?

a lot of people spend so much on leather, you'd think they'd bother to spend an hour researching rims properly. true, euro scene as well. i think the problem is car shows like autosalon. lol.
  15. Peter89

    Does this look good?

when buying new rims, it doesn't cost ANYTHING to get a more aggressive offset. then again, those are real BBS rims not cheap chinese **** which a lot of people do buy.
  16. Peter89

    Does this look good?

honestly, i didn't bother searching. i really didn't expect it to be on this form. i thought stuff like stanceworks/hellaflush was only big in the jap scene.
  17. Peter89

    Does this look good?

then why do so many people fail to get the correct offsets for their rims then? every man and his dog has a body kit with aftermarket rims and an inch gap if not more between them.
  18. Peter89

    Does this look good?

Do you like this style of rims and the way the car sits. Since i moved to the jap scene, i can't stand huge gaps between the wheels and guards and holdens have always really failed to get it. Maybe a cultural thing but i think such style works well with any car. low, wide, loud...

    Collapsing Jack

ya should never jack up a car without a jack stand or some kind of fail safe (like a block of wood). jacks can fail, especially if they are old, even a good trolley jack can break. in the event of a jack breaking, think of what would happen to you, if under the car, you would certainly die.

question about leaners speed limit if driving in vic

"Victorian road rules: U-turns and overtaking" they even made an animation for you. don't worry, soon right turns will be illegal as well.

    Ask The Copper

was a while ago but a situation a few friends have reported. my friend has driving, on a country road. speed limit 110kph, it's a long drive home and the driver infront was doing 90kph. now, back when you could legally overtake on one solid white line (should still be legal might i add), my...

question about leaners speed limit if driving in vic

not really any more, considering overtaking is illegal on all roads expect dotted lines. considering, dotted lines aint that common most people would be waiting a while. did anyone call vicroads and ask?
  30. Peter89

question about leaners speed limit if driving in vic

follows the laws of the state, applys for licensing and cars. best way is to ring up vicroads. doing 80kph on 110kph road is going to make a lot of drivers annoyed.

    new car

yeh, dont worry about any neons. currents plans are major service (to my standard), new rims, remove a few things and paint a few things black.

    new car

rims edited since it now has 16" stock rims, for rwc. going to get some basic 17" soon. looks boring atm but will make a few changes so make it seem a bit more aggressive. bonus is less cop attention though.

    my vn wagon

well, for an alarm+immobilizer get one with all black wiring and window sensors. (Mongoose - Australia just one popular company, there are lots) hide the sound system behind stock or crappy looking covers and try and find a box for the sub that doesn't stand out. bolting to sub to the car...

    my vn wagon

the most common brake upgrade is to a VT commodore, however, it's not a cheap upgrade. if you source all the parts yourself, looking at least $500-$600. the ready built kits are even more. with that setup, you ll need at least 16" front rims and alright offset. also, if you ever do upgrade the...
