Still have my August 17 built VF2 Redline sedan. About 62,000km now but it only really comes out on weekends and for the occasional longer trip. Since we stopped using it as a family car it's done about 5,000km a year. No plans to sell it.

I got my production photos last Friday too, wonder how close together our cars were? Mine was built 16 August. Anyway, after posting in here a few times they banned this site at work so I haven't posted much! Picked up my Redline a few weeks ago and loving it. Here's some pics:

When I ordered mine, the dealer showed me their allocations for the year and the black roof cars were a separate allocation to non-black - so they had X black roof cars and Y non-black for the year. Maybe the black roof one was the only allocation they had available and the salesman didn't...

My car is now expected at the dealer on 28 August. Which is cool, but I'm away all that week. Still, with a few days for pre-delivery etc it's no big deal, and I should be right to take delivery on 4 September. Can't wait!

Dark tint + gloss black highlights = win. On another note, red centre cap installation - do you need to take the wheels off or can you just pry the old ones out?

I've been wondering the same. My dealer has had a manual Light My Fire sedan sitting around for a couple of months now. On the other hand their Spitfire wagon was only there a few days before being sold.

Can I politely suggest that if you live 7km from work, get a bicycle or another car so you don't trash your VF2 with the constant short trips?

Just got a call from my dealer asking whether I wanted the T43 or T4X rear wing. Apparently the T4X is black - I didn't know this was available. Made the on the spot decision to stick with body colour. Asked about delivery date - not certain but looks like late August.

I'll be asking them to keep anything that comes off my Redline.

I've noticed that the LMF Redline at my local dealer has now been there for a month or so now. Maybe demand for the V8 models isn't as high as expected? I'd have thought it would have sold fairly quickly. Can any dealer insiders shed any light on how sales are going?

Given the polarising nature of Spitfire, its availability only on Redline and the limited number of wagons being built this year, that has got to be the rarest MY17 combo right there.

These were announced maybe a week after I got my white 1:18 Redline. Seeing as my actual Redline will be Slipstream, I've ordered one of these as well. Which reminds me of the confusion caused when they called to tell me my white 1:18 model had arrived at the shop... So I got a phone call...

I had planned to keep my VE SS for as long as I could...then the combination of it needing an engine rebuild and the final year of production arriving changed my mind. Now I plan to keep my VF2 Redline for as long as I can :)

My boss got a Slipstream Blue Calais V a month or so ago. It looks really good, and I can't recall ever seeing another one.

Having seen that exact Light My Fire car in the photos myself, I'm now wondering about my choice of Slipstream Blue. The orange is more unique, and I do generally like orange as a colour. On the other hand it's more gold than orange in some ways, and I do wonder if I'll be sick of looking at it...

Confirming that my factory option HF20s were $1500 as other posters have said.

Dropped my wife's Cruze off for service this morning and noticed my dealer has an MY17 manual Redline, Light My Fire with a black roof, $64500 d/a. That's about that I paid for my Redline order, but mine has about $2700 worth of options....hmm.

Saw it again yesterday. Definitely red Brembo brakes so definitely a Redline.

That is weird. I paid slightly more than that for my MY17 Redline order with options, so not sure why you'd pay that for a 2016 unless you absolutely had to have one today.

Do you have a pic of the black interior trim?

If you can live with the softer suspension, and assuming low KM, I'd lean towards the Calais V. The base SS isn't particularly special.
