The series 1 vs has the push on clamp type conectors, the series 2 has the screw on type. try cutting back some of the hose and re-clamp it with the fresh ruber hose, If the leak is coming from the stub on the radiator due to a crack then you may need to replace the radiator. Hope this helps

out of curiosity does the AC light turn on when you push the button, usual the ac doesnt activate intill the fan controll is turned on, not sure how the ac works but if it triggers the AC via the resistive circuit then it may well just be a dead fan. good luck with the diagnosis.

I think the mangled bit might be related to your indicator, it should automaticcaly turn your blinker off when you turn the wheel. Dont think its meant to be mashed like that, does your indicator stalk function ok?
