Thanks guys, sounds like the actuators could be the culprit, definitely not coming from the CD player. I'll take it to my dealer and get it fixed under warranty.

Hi all, Just started getting this clicking noise when I first start my SS, regardless of whether it is cold or not. Sounds like it is coming from the air con, middle of the dash. Several voilent sounding clicks, then nothing until I start it again. Any ideas what this could be? Cheers.

Guy at my work has these on his HSV and said they are pretty noisy at half tread. Performance wise seem to be ok though apparently.

Hi all. Had my 15K service done in the SS last week and was expecting the Oil life to reset back to 100% when in Engineering Mode. Anyone know how to reset this? No biggie but it just annoys me!

How nice is Karma! I ordered my SS in Karma because I hadn't even seen any and I loved it, they are still one of the rarest down here. I decided I'd go with the metric system for my custom plates. Get yourself a legal (*cough*) tint though mate, looks awesome and costs bugger all.

Anyone know how the oil life is calculated. I'm apparently at 15% and my SS has only done 8500K's in 6.5 months ??

I did not have to option up when I ordered my SS in March this year, it came standard with a 6 stack which is currently full of hours and hours of MP3's. It was my understanding the interior of the SS and SV6 are identical bar the logos ??

It's clearly a conspiracy between holden and the globe manufacturer's! I'm with Hunter - I have no issue with the VE auto headlights, who cares if they turn on and off when it's overcast, I only see the dash lights. My VYII was friggin annoying in Auto mode though, the sensor was playing up...

Can't speak for the Air Hammer but I am not that impressed with the SS induction kit. Had it on a month or so and she seems less responsive to me. Induction sound is good though. Booking in for a new exhaust next week so I will see how it is after that and a tune.

I figure you buy an 8, drive it like an 8. Still never been below 17.4/100 for a tank in the SS and that was a week with lots of driving with the missus and litl'n, typically around 19-20/100 when I'm by myself. All city driving, lots of bumper to bumper. My avg speed is usually around 37km/hr...

No mention of a V8 replacement, have we seen the last of the 6.0L?

yeah nice buy mate, to get a near new SS ute basically for the price of the SV6 new your laughing. I paid a whole bunch more for my SS sedan new, she has done just over 2000K's and everything still looks and smells brand new. And a manual in Karma you can't go wrong ;-)

And I'm proud to be one of those 26,979 holden buyers this year! At the end of the day Toyota may out sell us due to the elderly purchasers, but they don't make a 6.0L do they ;-)

Anyone else think it is strange that the full size spare costs $350 when you order a new SS or SV6 yet the tyres alone cost more than this retail :-)

I've only ever run my SS on 98, V Power or Ultimate. From what I hear, the money you might save by putting 91 in at the pump you will chew up getting your injectors cleaned down the track

OK so I've had my VE SS Manual a month now, done 1200K's and I am very happy with her overall. Holden have really put together a quality package with the VE. But.....I can't help but get the feeling there is a lot more power to be tapped into under that bonnet. The L98 seems to be doing it too...

I must be doing something wrong, not been below 20L/100 in the VE SS manual yet, done just over 1000k's. Mind you I was getting no less than 14L/100 in the old VY2 V6 Auto

Have you even driven a VE compared to previous model Commy's or just read reviews? I jumped back in my VY today after driving my new VE SS for a month and the handling is a joke in the VY compared to the VE

888 ey, now why would they want to badge it as a ford supercar? Not sure about a 'G8' V6 - What does the 8 stand for?
