done it many times just used a 3/8' extension bar and tapped it out with a hammer, slid the rod onto another piston, and tapped it back in never had a problem doing it this way Dan

i just had a basic tune done on my ecotec turbo, only running 8 psi and its killed the shift kitted th700 already. was making about 220 rwkw im thinking about putting in a c4, do it once do it properly.

crank bolt pattern is different on the series 1 & 2 engines. . but the gearboxes are all the same bolt patern from VN series I -> VR so yes it will bolt up no problem ;)

your best bet is a gt35/40 they seem to suit these motors pretty well. you can get a cheaper ebay T3 or a KKR, but like everything.. they are cheaper for a reason

the cranks are exactly the same, these motors are externally balanced, so there is a difference in the flex plate balance but thats it. . also the balance shaft is different, but if he is having a motor built, the machinist will take car of all that. Dan
