Swear by it, but just be careful who you get to do it. I've seen 3 different 1s, an only 1 has the ability. I have gone there on crutches an walked out. I have strucual back problems an is a great alternative to the medico's answer of painkillers.

Wasn't lookin to advise some-1 of a dangerous action. As Steery said have seen it done an wasn't a hazard. This is providing your not tryin to do a ridiculusly large flare.

Just another way of doin it would be with a length of pipe with the wheel on, an roll the car ... Just a thought. :)

Steerin wheel remover from any Auto shop m8. They are easy to use an cheap. ;)

Just another quick fix would be to mount a separate switch somewere to stop the short. A similar thing happened to my VL, the horn was shortin in the colomn, so i retracted the horn wire an mounted a switch. No horn on steerin wheel but mounted very handy. ;)

:) Kool eh ... I worked for a minin company an they used those type of engines to run power to the mine/township. They are easy to work on due to there size, but not real easy to move part's into ;) ... they run a dry sump an external water coolin tower. They were housed in a hugh factory...

Personly for me tint is a must, without they look unfinished. An the tint has other benifit's, like sunscreen for the interior an security. ;)

Hey mate this started doin it on mine (fitted with sport steerin wheel) an with lot's of stuffin around found the boss was just touchin the horn plate in the steerin column. Try'd to file it down but with little success. So i cut the horn wire to the steerin an fitted a button for the horn. Not...

Hey m8 this mite seem like a stupid question, but does it have an imobilizer ? An is it fuel injection ? Either you not gettin power to starter or mite be imobilizer. Check for power to starter an work back from there.

Both my VL's have sport systems on, 2.5", an are quite loud, 1 has cat on an 1 doesn't an the sounds are different but nice. An they are both with extractors. Same thing as detox nath83, can be heard in the area before you get home. Good tho wen your not drivin, hear how others treat your car ;)

Would definatly get same ECU as standard. An has the dizzy bin out ? Also check ur imobilizer(if fitted).

G/day guy's, was just wondering if someone could tell me if the wiring for a V8 cooling fan is the same as a V6 ? I am fitting a Gilmore Drive to my son's car an he is fitting a new shroud with electric cooling fans. Does the wiring stay the same, and can we connect to the same harness. :confused:
