Hey guys, I have looked everywhere for stockies/steelies/chasers/interceptors (whatever you want to call them)... I am after 16inch (16x7) rims with tyres...in a combination of 2 and 4 with tyres... Know anyone in Sydney that has them for a good price? Cheers, Jon.

Fishing line works nice, you can simply "slice" the badges off, i did this on my new VE, but the older VEs, say 06,07,08 need hairdryers and fishing line. Cheers. EDIT: A good wash and polish after is advised as the adhesive can leave a ghost mark.

^^^ +1 to Drumo, spot on mate. I put SSSLs (front and rear) in my SV6 and it sits very nicely, it doesnt quite touch the tyres, but on stock wheels you would, on SuperSport20s (20inch rims) its perfect!

I'm not sure where your from, but if you try bestmufflers.com who are from Sydney....they have heaps of mufflers for the VE, all aftermarket and straight through. Redbacks with some tips will be around $500, not stainless. The Ebay somes are good because they are stainless but not sure how/where...

I had the airhammer but took it off, I got the black silicone to allow it have the "stock" look. Definitely looks more convincing than some of the ebay ones, all chrome and what not. Cheers

Even if you just got a 2.5inch catback system, that would make it sound 100 times better but not obnoxiously loud. Anyways, awesome car, hope you enjoy it!

For a cheap price, just pick up a Xforce 2.5inch system for about $600 ish, I got mine for $350 second hand off ebay (500kms old), big difference in sound but its not obnoxious.

I picked up a full Xforce 2.5inch system off ebay for $350, now that has really made it sound better and its cheap as, keep the stock system and when you sell it, put it back on. Cheap, easy and appears to be all stock...

Sounds good Big Fella...my bro's VE SS has the Xfroce 2.5", not a bad exhaust. It's very easy to do yourself, not sure if they charged you for fitting it. We are always driving around, should come out for a drive some time. Cheers

Jono, With that ride height, if you put 20s on it, it will get slightly taller, so maybe get a set of SLs or SSLs, i have SSSLs on mine and for a rural town, probably not advisable as any pot hole/bump can be felt. Chrome edges would look the bomb, especially on black cars. Can't wait to see how...

Congrats on your new purchase, looks great as it is stock. SuperSports are 20inch but you can get a 19inch older version (i think), I bought my set off ebay for $1600 with good rubber, with one kerb mark... SSV rims are pretty much everywhere you go, so they are much cheaper. Be good to see how...

I put a set of Xforce mufflers only off a 2.5inch catback system and they are perfect for the 6...it drones slightly but sounds good at revs.
