Depends on cars life, if city car stop start change the oil at 60k, had one VE 6pd that was a city car when we bought and trans was so dirty, serviced parents 6sp at 80k country car and was clean as.
Service is easy just need level ground and temps right. Thsi little gem helps heaps
Installed several shifter over time and the ripshifter is the best I've found for feel etc.
I had a VY yrs ago that was a dog to change gears and the rip made the car so much more enjoyable.
while at it get a otr before tune
I've bought KPM systems for my 2 SS, one was 2nd hand they sound great in 3". both installed by myself.
Personally buy exhaust/ otr yourself then get a tune save alot of $$$.
check your credit card statement for oil and filter purchase this would be good proof of oil change.
Maybe try another dealer some seem to fight for you other dont care just want the $$$$
1/16 build manual VFSS never reset the fuel since new 8500kms now fuel average at 12.5 at 43kms/h avg, tuned at 3000kms with full exhaust and otr.
I dont watch fuel economy much but have noticed how much better it is when you dont let engine labour in 6th and 5th when in hilly areas
I have same 3" kpm system on my VE Head cammed ute and VF SS sedan and ute is not as loud as sedan inside think the ute design tones the sound down a lot compared to sedans
In qld but may post? $200

Honest freshen the bottom end inc all new cam bearings etc as above l98 heads with a small port and shave for better comp.
Being a auto smallish cam and small hi stall say 2500 and your done and your 10k is done.
We are looking at another car atm after selling misses Prado, but theres nothing in the holdeb range that's good and even if a good price just not interested.
Note not seeing any fantastic deals at all atm, f anything VF2 V8 prices have risen
Enjoy the Evoke I assume a 3L not the 3.6 lpg engine, 3l is a bit gutless but does the job with those kms make sure the auto has been serviced.
Probably had the steering rack replaced but worth a check
Personally cant my brain to like VF steering feel not the same as the VE.
I wouldn't worry to much my Jan 16 build SS is about to turn 4 and has 6700kms on it(same as you Ranger gets hammered for work duties), oil changed at 1000kms and at 6000 gets driven on a good run once a month everything else is good
yep
, just changed the oil in my daily VE berlina V6 on gas at 7500kms, black as and always serviced 7500 runs on lpg 90% of the time and avg speed is 70km/h as mainly on the highway so not a hard life.
agreed but the issue is the oil can't clean engine out due to suspension of the black **** so build up in engine begins(big problem in the V6 alloytec).
oil change at 7500 is cheap insurance if your keeping your car.
How ya getting 450k out of hiluxs(petrol) misses runs her work fleet and...
MY16 build quality seems far better from a lot of feedback here on later builds, simply holden wont spend #$$$ on machines that are getting near end of life(generally around the world any car plant claosing quality drops at lot.
Re driveline a few engine(ls3) have died aswell with low kms so...
think there will be plenty of stock next year, the inflated prices atm from most deales will make sure of that.
Holden played it well, remember when dealers were screaming that there 17 allocation was small etc yet there are so many redlines etc for sale atm.
I'd loosen the bolts of a bit and see it that helps settle the exhaust down a bit, is there extra tension on any rubber mounts.
Once fitted a system and even though seems all good with clearance the engine twisted made system touch underbody sometimes. Adjust the exhaust and no issues
plasma......
still running 2 50" Panasonics in lounge rooms and love them, just not a fan on LCD looks fake to me, the LG in bedroom 42" LCD is average compared to the Panasonics.
good pint re cooler
Also the LS3 is near the end of its life so maybe the tolerances are getting a bit average from the plant(mexico) I remember the last 5L had oval bores issues to to machining getting old.
didn't know that, I guess holden would record the details etc, shame they would destroy and newish engine that needed pistions and rings etc.
Years ago a mate had issues with his VT( I think)and they rebuilt his engine so no swap
In another forum a MSE has clocked up 176kms and engine is dead(holden replacing) i's be pissed as engine numbers wont match now.
Said it rattled badly and stopped
Just do mufflers first and see if you like it, once removed from VF2they revert to fully open.
Just make sure you get the correct mufflers from a VF2 in flange or the ball type joint, I sold my flange style off my ss for $175 to a series 1 SSV owner
