    VT won't start

    yeah iv had 2 different VS's do crank angle sensors.. think they are around $80 or $90 but it was quite a few yrs back. The other thing it could be is your battery terminals etc though im sure you have probably already checked that side of things out

    is it VY-S? or just standard vy?

    Its very simple..... Take your vin number into holden and they will give you a print out of everything relating to your car... model, series, transmission, colour, trim, accesories, wheels etc.. EVERYTHING. takes 2 mins

    glazed brakes

    Is it happening on every wheel? have you checked that none are sticking whils the car is off the ground? could be a faulty master cylinder which you will not notice without the engine running... other than that i have no idea... especially if you have 'normal' driving habits.

    vy sump

    You need to have a look underneath.. you have either cracked it or taken a chunk out of it and either way its a very expensvie fix/replace.

    I just purchased a 03 series 2 ute that does the same thing but only if im completely still. I think from reading on here that yes its just requires some bigger hoses but Id like someone to confirm that too so I know if its worth doing myself.

    Broken Odometer

    Funny that Tim, I just done the same thing and yep mine still isnt working either so I pulled it apart again and found a loose connection on the motor for it, put it back together and still nothing! so I plugged my facia back up ie speed alert etc and now my speedo just stopped aswell!! arrgghhh...

    cracked sump

    You need to raise the engine up and support it as a minimum to get the sump out over the cross member and access to bolts. Im about to have a go at doing mine next week if i can find another sump (yet to find a wreckers with one) if not ill patch it for now whilst i wait or may just get it...

    My VS did the same thing for a while and i ended up working out it was the crank angle sensor causing all the grief... Holden had no idea! then my uncles VR was doing the same thing and he kept putting it in to holden not listening to me for 6 months and gee.. guess what.. he finally listened...

    did you have to disconnect the a/c, fuel lines etc that are hard piped? im about to replace mine on a VY so any info or tips you have would be much appreciated thanks in advance

    cracked sump

    Hi, how did you go with the sump? did you remove it, if so how much was the labour? I have a small hole in mine and to remove the sump requires the engine to be removed as it goes up and over the cross member.. iv been qouted as 7hs labour and a new sump is $830 on its own!! hence im not getting...

    There's some epoxy type putty that loctite have that is oil resistant and should seal just a crack up nicely
