I've got a twin 2.5" system pretty much exactly like what you have described and I think it's too big. I'm fairly certain I lost low down power but gained top end power and opened up the engine to rev more freely. I'd go 2.25" for the 175 unless you've done some pretty big power-gaining mods to it

Ive had this problem since I had coolant spilled on my belt by holden... It seems to recur when it gets wet (with water). The best way to fix it is to spray silicone spray all over the belt and tensioner pulley. I had the belt replaced at one point which stopped the noise until the idiots...

I got a twin 2.5 off a s/c vx calais - the exhaust is the same as the LS1 so it fit like a glove. I think its a bit too big to make more power but it doesnt drone or anything else bad or annoying...

mine didnt throw any codes when i had a misfire. it could be a coil, could be bad fuel, a bad plug... if you have the lights on, that lowers the rpm and causes a vibration, same with radio and fan/aircon etc etc etc

I had some 4300k hid's in my calais and they were good, except for the shape of the beam. It was very angled (up) at the left side (on both lights) so I couldn't have the main part of the beam in front of me at the height I wanted it. Anyone know why that would happen?

That is very low!!! I have Lovells superlows and Boge lowered shocks and have scraped on 1 big speedhump in about 12 months... It is low, but not so low that I have to crab-walk over humps and thru dips. I think I'm about 20-25mm below FE2, just as a comparison...
