There is a few screws around the behind the steering wheel area, then possibly a couple near ashtray then the rest is help in by clips, double check for all screws as some are hiding, then with a slight pressure pop it out 1 clip at a time. Worked for me.

Undo your torque converter and slide back into trans for removal/refitting. Its hard for me to help cause if everything is undone then it should come out.

Just remembered, not a abba is right there all seals can be put in just a matter of removing 2 circlips, big one on back (spring loaded watchout lol)and a small one on the inside, dont forget the seal in the valve, you take out the threaded fitting that the steel power steering line screws into...

no, theres not enough meat on the pulley to get the jaws from a normal puller to grip to get if off, you could try i guess but more then likely fail. the proper puller remover clamps right around the lip on the pulley where'as 3 jaw puller just wont do it. And then i think the pulley is heated...

You need a special puller to take it off, I would avoid buying a pump with no pulley on it, if you go to repco or somewhere like that, you should be able to get a pump for fraction more with new pulley on it, will work out less then buying pulley remover, i went through same thing, seen pumps...

The blades inside the power steering pump may have been glazed from either over heating or running dry if fluid got too low once or twice.. Either that or its a idler pulley.. try replace pump and idler pulleys..

If your balancer seal is leaking or timing cover seal leaking could always do it now while radiator is empty n pump off and out the road..

Obviously its the pinion seal thats leaking, the Pinion gear has a Collapsable Spacer (springy thing) to give preload to the pinion gear and diff housing, this controls the backlash between the pinion gear and crown wheel i believe. you can easily replace the seal without removing the pinion...

They should be ok, you could always check, feeler gauges are only cheap, from memory i think the standard gap is 1 millimetre. In there original packaging they have that plastic protector i would imagine that would prevent the end of them being bumped and possibly changing the end gap.

I tend to agree with this, my vx diff has a tag on the filler bolt, it says "use high performance oil or something", but im certain its not a lsd diff. it came from a base model vx executive with a factory gen3.

Yea man sounds sensible, maybe a better oil flow aswell with that filter.. cheers.. ahh i just remembered z9 same as used on a ford falcon 6cyl i think, gee yea when you think about it the ls1 oil filter is kinda smallish compared to that one.
