Made it to woek no dramas. Yea check engine light is on... left unplugged no maf at all. Actually runs no different but I havnt given it a boot full and dont intend to.

would it be safe to drive with no maf connected short distance as i have to goto work but its only 5 min down the road

just went and wasted $60 on a maf to find out the plugs aint even the same

if they do read different would it be fine once i get a tune done?

they are the same, although you will need to in stall hub rings as the x5 has larger hubs then the commodore (vt anyway) .... i found this out the hard way after fitting x5 rims to my vt ..... 4 snapped studs on my rear wheel is what it took to make me notice the differance
