Thanks guys, ended up getting them out.. Took them down to the local mechanics and some guy was nice enough to lend me his drill. So yay, although after taking them out one screw was too long for the new tweeters, and one was a completely different thread! lol, fun day...

The aftermarket double din facia you linked from ebay will do the job fine, its the exact same one i have in my car. But i dont have the same headunit, though it should be the same process for pretty much every single din head unit. How did u go with it?

I had this problem at first, have you got your stock head unit out? Id love to you show you how ive done mine but i just put it in yesterday lol. If you setup the facia with the two side parts that it comes with screwed in, you'll be able to sit the headunit behind the facia and screw it into...

So I've gotten the dash off, got the tweeters and speakers out.. But cant work out how to unscrew the tweeters, theres a screw on the back where it screws into the bracket with glue around it but i dont know if its worth me going down to get some glue remover or not (tried terps and nail polish...

So since installing my head unit (which looks so hot :D) I've noticed that theres a particular wire that goes from head unit to amp called 'remote', im sure you all know that. Anyway, since i'll be running 2 amps and 2 subs (setup seen here) i was wondering. which amp do i run the remote wire...

Ah, i thought the only difference was one had a hole for the bass to escape and one didnt. Might chew over making one myself then, we'll see :D. If i get the spec's for my subs would you be able to run me through designing one(single box for both subs)?

Yeah most of that gear was 80% off at Autosalon last weekend :D. Probably wont build the enclosures myself, I'm no where near good enough to do that unfortunately lol.

Cool, well even if its a biased opinion it's better than none at all :D the subs cost me $70 each! So I'm pretty happy with that.

I'm not in any way a pro in this area, but maybe the illumination cable? I dont really know :D just seemed like a logical suggestion if you hadn't thought of it. Edit: Also i think this is in the wrong section maybe.

It says fits VZ on the box. Its an Aeropro FP9046. Its strange, because my headunit (JVC FD-R705) wont even slide through the hole? Unless im supposed to just slide the headunit into the big gaping hole there at the moment and sit the facia over the top of it? I's confused :)
