I got a new battery a couple of years back that had the 2 vents. I went round to the battery manufacturer to ask them about it. They just blocked the one hole and kept the other one vented.

Yeah there are other car brands that have them on all the time. They dim when the headlights come on so they're not too bright at night.

Coming over from Adelaide with a few mates, we all had a good time on the cruise. We managed to get around most of the traffic jams so it worked out ok for us. Lots of nice cars there too.

The headlights are interchangeable however the Calais and Berlina taillights are larger than the omega and ss lights. You'll have to change the rear bumper to get them to fit.

My back used to hurt a bit when I first got my Calais changing from my VR. I've had it for 4 years now and it hasn't given me any trouble for a long time. Hopefully you'll get used to it as you drive it more.

Putting it on a mainline dyno would make a difference too. My car with a full exhaust and tune on a dyno dynamics dyno made 262kw and a couple of months later it only made 240kw on a mainline dyno. Pretty sure LSD was only a option on the calais it didn't come standard. I had to get one fitted to mine after I bought it.

I bought my wagon outright and took out a loan for most of the calais. I only did basic mods like a cat back exhaust and rims while I still owed money on it. I saved hard and had it payed off in under 2 years, so then I started doing more mods to the car once it was mine.

Looks pretty nice from what I've seen first hand, it goes alright too. But I think you should at least get a OTR and tune done to go with your exhaust as well. But its a very nice ride mate :thumbsup:

I had 19's for a while on my calais, I just thought they looked too small. I switched to 20's and I think they suit the VE's much better.

I've had my screen go out twice in the three years I've owned my car. The second time it happened a few months ago I disconnected the battery for 30 seconds and after that it came good. I havent had any more trouble since but I've changed to a new battery as well.

I've been running around 360rwkw through mine since December. I only drive it on weekends and its got a trans cooler fitted and its still going strong.
