got a vs calais and my antenna is doing the horrible grinding noise every time i start it up/turn it off, i just want to disconnect it completely seeing as though i never even listen to the radio..
behind the passenger side blinker is a cable that seems like its going to the antenna motor, is...
looking at getting a new set of wheels for my vs calais, but dont know if the offset and width will be a problem.. 18x8 on front and 18x9.5 on rear..
18x8 is a 40 offset and the 18x9.5 is a 35 offset.. is this going to work?
cheers
my gf has a ve calais and the headunit has stopped playing cd's, guessing the laser is stuffed.. anyways just wondering whats the best solution to this, are they repairable?? or better off trying to get another one??

because VZ v8 springs arent meant for a VS v6, yeh theyll fit but because a vz is heavier the springs would probably have a different load rating to vs springs
seeing as fe2 only lowers a vz slightly i doubt its going to lower a vs much or at all...
u'll find that most vr/vs sedans that r REALLY slammed r using barina, camira, daewoo, torana or bmw springs.. for irs that is
where did u buy the 20" sigs from?? been tryna track down a set but can only find 2nd hand..
i dont think u could even get defected for SSSL in the rear of a vs... i had them in mine and no point of the car was anywhere near as low as 100mm off the ground
if ur not happy with the ssl, u probably wont be any happier with sssl because there is hardly any difference at all... ive had springs compressed and with shortened shocks to suit they're fine..
and i doubt many tyre places actually do it, usually its just suspension places..
well there ya go....
every commodore ive owned has been slammed and spent a fair bit of time with stockies on the back due 2 camber wear and ive never been picked up on it... even with 20s on the front (which i can understand if i did get done)
but gettin done with 16s on front and 15s rear is...
just wondering if anyones changed a climate control unit on a vr/vs?? if so is it pretty staright forward, just pull the surrounding off, unplug it and put new one in??? any help would be much appreciated..
cheers
havnt actully taken any fotos of it but will try get some up soon...
keen to see how yours turns out though coz either sssl's do F all to the rears of irs vs's or ive been scummed with the wrong springs..
i got king springs in my vs calais.. ssl front and sssl rear... and its not slammed at all.. fronts ok but rear is no where near tuckin tyre..
only way ur really gona be able 2 slam it is either compress them to the height u want or use something like bmw superlows with shortened shocks..
pretty sure its glued from factory anyway? i only used a little blob on each corner..
im not saying this is safe nor legal, if u wana paly it safe get it done properly
if u want it slammed go ultra lows...i ran them in my vt and i didnt find it too bumpy, scrape the occasional speed hump but thats it.. they're illegal IF they drop it below 100mm.. i never got defected for them, thats not to say u wont though...
go ssl in the back and sl in front.. wont be too low... ive got sssl in my vs calais ridin on the 16" stockies and i never scrape on anything..
ull hardly notice any difference with just fe2...
best off just gettin the porta walls off ebay dude.... people sell them for heaps over here..
i got a set off ebay for about 80bux delivered..
make sure u get some one 2 fit em that knows what theyre doin tho, otherwise they just start to come off..
