if you want good bottom end go NO bigger than 2 1/4" either custom made from good exhaust shop or off the shelf one. the stock system on the VZ was a 2" i believe and the VE was a 2 1/4" which is why with the VE you only need to change the rear mufflers and not the whole system. Again could be wrong but from what i remember reading this is the case

i personally wouldnt go as big as 2 1/2" unless going FI and even then proflows turbo is running 3" and they wanted bigger i think. For best sound and power gains go dual 2 1/4" or single 3" i think, brands manta do nice single otherwise pacemaker make a 2 1/4", any bigger and you'll loose power...

brand of headers wont make much difference, materials and sizes will vary sound. I found when i first put the growler kit on was better but wouldn't say the 11 they say. Alloytec is sluggish off the line, partly because of the electronic throttle control but also because the ecu is torque based...

the 4 speeds should hold up, yes they an older box but holden have worked them over the years so should be ok, and gains from the alloytec are best gained from upping the rev limiter, i wouldnt go any higher than 7500 or 8000. The engine is capable of going to 9000 and holding up really well...

that would be very handy as i wouldnt mind doin mine and putting new boost valve in as well while im there. Had a quote for it and was around the 350 mark so if i can do it myself and save some money

not sure where in the rev range the gains are from the cams but 30-40rwhp gains from them isnt too bad, with the aftermaket ecu i think u'd see more as well but then you see more gains regardless of cams with aftermaket computer

howdy LX6, they are awesome cars you'll love it. Arches are massive and plenty of room for big wheels. Haven't had any scrubbing with the new wheels, they 10" wide front and rear too. With the head unit i installed it myself was piece of cake, just need new fascia plate and some wiring harness...

update on the headers and cats, Last week when i took the car into D&T they went to fit the headers (VZ pacemaker) and they wouldn't fit, there wasn't enough room either side for them to bolt up. So they just fitted the cats last week and then they said to bring the car back again next week...

hey, yes they do its all connected like a sedan, remote open and button in the glove box will get some pics later on today and then post them up, very handy if you need to get something out quickly and dont want to open the entire boot

i dont think they really protect anything at all just mayb keeps things a bit cleaner otherwise its personal preference on the covers. With the CPR6 manifold you can't put the covers back on as of yet but Phil is trying to work out a way of doing it.

Hey thanks guys so far. I love my ady they are awesome cars. The lettering no the manifold is cpr6. Its an after market manifold which improves air flow and gives around 25rwhp alone. Ive also taken the engine covers off n radiator cover as well which is why my looks completely different as well...
