Oh ok, no worries. Good to see someone into their L67. Im currently running a huge W2A setup on my VY so have done alot of work, if ever you need advice.

    Filip's VY2 L67 Calais - new project!

I sold my velour seats without door cards for $450 in immaculate condition. With L67, definitely get a 3.4" pulley upgrade with modular hub. (remember though without a full dyno tune 3.4" is smallest you can go without the ecu pulling timing) Also look at some extractors to compliment the...

Good work! Enjoying following this. Good to see other materials being used other than crappy carpet. I had my sub box false wall, upholstered in black suede. Always looks better using quality stuff!

Also have another 0 gauge earth next to battery in engine bay and upgraded engine earths to 0 gauge aswell.

    Gouldinator1's Sv6

I earthed my 3 amps underneath the rear seat. Each seatbelt is bolted under the seat by a fairly large bolt. I just drilled out a 0 gauge ring terminal to fit over the seat belt bolt and grinded the contact area around the bolt.

Hey bro, can you give me someone go on how you went about installing the calais mesh into the berlina front bar. I've got the mesh, just looking into how to go about getting it in along with the berlina fog lights? As you know yourself they don't just fit in. Any help would be great!

    Gouldinator1's Sv6

Its good to see you doing more yourself! You spent alot on having things put in earlier. Can make huge savings just doing everything yourself. Yeah for sure! I used 4 or 5 bulk dynamat boxes on my install and could probably of used a 6th with doing the roof if i had my time again. The other...

    Gouldinator1's Sv6

What are you installing for the sound system? What speakers/amps and what size fuse? Before you replaced the bootlid liner did you Dynamat inside the boot lid cavity? I did a big system install a year or so ago and did inside the boot lid. It resonates like a ####er if you miss deadening that lol

2002 VY SS Commdore, 5.7, 6 speed manual

Looks good. You wouldn't do both a cam and rockers...Most cams are ran with stock rockers as both would create excessive lift and could cause damage. So just go cam ;)

    James' Vespers Blue VZ Alloytec

Unless you plan to have some form of forced induction i see no benefit from having twin 2.5". If its a single 2.25" now then going to twin 2.25" would be plenty for most mods youd do to an alloytec. Rocker upgrades and even a cam would be fine on twin 2.25" along with other supporting mods. The...

The only difference between the berlina and Calais lights is the blackened parts. They both suit either front bar. Calais lights look far better.

    Boost666s L67 Calais

Its a shame the kits sold here are so $$$. I bought a full size W2A kit with a 2.5" thick core from USA for $1000 inc shipping which included, pump, hoses, gaskets, heat exchanger and all install parts...sold the exchanger and bought one far larger for another $250. So spent $1300 odd for a W2A...

    Boost666s L67 Calais

Like this build! I'm in the process of inter cooling my L67. Going W2A, keeping cam and heads standard but using YT split ratio rockers. About to send LIM off for porting to W2A cooler, having blower outlet and inlet ported aswell as extreme rotor to blower porting, matched to a custom carbon...

Did you wrap the ballasts? There's good mounting points underneath the light housings. They're easy to get to if you take te front bar off. Put up some pics of where you mounted them and some of the lights on

    Bens l67 VY Wagon

Ive not heard that, and having had mine for best part of 3 years, they havnt changed. Just buy 5 or 6000K if you want that look. 5000 being pure white and 6000 white with a blue hue. 4300 is like sunlight, white with a warm yellowish hue. They wont change over time, as the gas in the bulb is...

    Bens l67 VY Wagon

Yeah they're the right ballasts. You'll have no problems with those. One thing though...because theyre metal cased ballasts they will earth out of the car body if they touch metal directly. Its to do with the circuitry of these cars. Some cars are wired different so they need the ballasts to...

    Bens l67 VY Wagon

I wouldnt buy any cheap HID kits. I have all lights (low, high and fogs) all converted to HID. Originally bought 3 kits all 35w 5000K for low and high and 8000K for fogs and the globes supplied were Phillips which are great and cant fault them but the slimline ballasts had no brand printed on...

    My New VY Calais

Guarantee you'll see wear with any lowering. I have Lovells superlows in and probably dropped 40-50mm and I got really bad wear before putting a camber kit in.

    My New VY Calais

All IRS models that get lowered end up with bad camber. Id recommend getting a 4 point adjustable camber kit installed. I put a whiteline kit on mine

Supercharged VY II - STAGE ONE.

Nice to see another L67 on here! If you want any advice on anything then only too glad to help. Im currently in the middle of a build on my VY Berlina. Have a read if you're interested or looking for ideas. http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/vy-vz-wk-wl-v2/112324-new-ride.html

    New Ride

Haha yeah id really love it to be Manual, but from what ive read its a fair deal of work and $ as would require a different tune and BCM and there isnt a BCM to suit Berlina/Calais. So just keeping it auto and making the auto stronger and shift quicker. Already is semi-manualised with stage 2...

    New Ride

Nah dont know the brand mate but its a crap design. My one had been plastic welded together so there was no way to replace or clean the filter without breaking it. I changed mine for the MACE CAI kit. Much better quality imo.

Updates: Installed transmission cooler and power-steering cooler. Started installing my W2A intercooling setup. Mounted the heat exchanger, water pump and water reservoir, ran some of the hoses. Also fitted a pair of polished rocker covers

New Project: 2005 VZ Lumina, Heron White

Lower it, take the trolley strips off the doors. Generally speaking the exhausts on these are restrictive so basic headers and new exhaust free up power. Extractors into dual 2-1/4" or single 2.5-3" would be plenty. Tuned long extractors will give better torque, the short ones dont work as...

Mixed and matched the interior. Got the best combo IMO. VZ Calais door trims and centre console lid, VZ Senator steering wheel, VZ R8 seats. Lol for the mint condition theyre in considering the age i got them for a good price, still alot of $$$ =/

Small update: Have a huge water/air heat exchanger in the post. 26"*7"*3.5" On another note, id highly recommend AutoGlym cleaning products to anyone with leather. Cleans and refreshens leather so well. The after cleaning balm makes it feel so good and have a great gleam to the leather!!!

    My 2004 VY

I've always been told (not 100% on it though) that you can go 2 inches larger than the largest size wheel holden offered from factory on that series. So I know VY HSV's had 19" as a choice so 21" would technically be the largest you could legally go on a VY. Ill add, most people I know who have...

    Sam's VY II Calais

Yeah, ive got HID in my projectors. Theyre better in projector than reflector as its easier to get scattered light in a reflector and it can glare people lol. I have my low/high and fogs all HID's and the Fogs do scatter glare people a bit i always get high beamed lol then i high beam them with...

    New Ride

Spent my Sunday installing Yella Terra split ratio roller rockers. Hardest and most annoying part was the amount of things i had to remove to get access to the rocker covers. Definantly a fair bit more power across the range and a huge torque improvement.

    Fitting Yella Terra Roller Rockers

Hi, bought myself some YT split ratio roller rockers for my L67 and the fitting instructions were quite brief and not comprehensive. Was wondering if anyone is able to give me a run down on what to do step by step or if anyone has already made a thread on doing this? Cheers

Cheers mate! Um yeah i got the chrome window surrounds off eBay. Just waited until a decent priced set popped up. No it isnt hard really. The top piece is just held on by about 5-6 screws each side and the bottom 4 are just clipped on so you just slide them up and off and slide new ones on, the...
