    If your not measuring the oil then the only other way to do it is to flush everything and fill compressor to it's rated full fill, not just a compressor swap. Yes they do do c02 leak detection nowdays. Yep, the aircon industry is way over regulated.

    there is a pressure sensor in the line, the pressure maybe to high or to low which is stopping it from engaging the clutch. A scantool can read this value from the sensor.

    was it a genuine TPS Sensor? Some of the aftermarket ones don't line up properly, you can check it with a multimeter or scantool or laptop with a ALDL cable and see what voltage it's reading, it should be around 0.45v with no throttle.

    pretty common, the top seal between the inlet gaskets prob is leaking, could also be pcv valve not working well enough so pressure is fed past the seal.

    yes they will fit up, you'l need the tune changed to suit, not really worth it unless you have to replace the injectors you have or you have mods done that require more fuel.

    i posted that ebay link 3 years ago so of coarse it wont be available anymore. The part number is 816-06-NPS if you read the post i said it is the fitting to fit directly to the gearbox, not the metal line fittings. From that fitting you just need 6AN to whatever hose size adapter you want...

    so either balance was out, clearances not right or lost oil pressure, possibly more scenarios, crank would be no good by the sounds of it, so another crank and rod then new bearings and a full balance to check

I wouldn't be mixing and matching, different weights/balance and strengths to start with, what happened to the original rod? is the rest of the engine in good nick? I would be checking everything over. See if you can find out what rods...

    Never trust anything without proper testing, fake injectors and people who have no idea are rife in the industry.     oil will help catch micron particles. If you want a much better filter than K&N go Unifilter, oiled foam. Wash the filter with mineral turps brake cleaner will damage it.
