unplug the drain holes in the boot as thats what I done to mine When open the seam/bottom of the boot lip you are looking direct at there are 2 drain holes pluged from factory (one to the left and one to the right) as I poked the sealant out from them and hay presto no more wet...

Why don't you just run a split twin system and forget the X/H pipe ?? What differance would that make as I've been away from doing performance mods for a while ??

It does sound about right and it is a comon fault that I know of and I agree with Langas about the clutch.

The only other thing I can think of is check the plug to the computer and see if it has an earth lead on it and check if that is earthed properly

Yes it is under the ABS/cruise control units and the earth on the engine is on the drivers side engine mount

Yeah get rid of the gas conversion and either rebuild you motor or get a change over but I'd piss off the factory carby and put on a 350 Holly as I found in the past the Holly was more reliable and I get better economy with the Holly as well. Trav Man

If your refering to the transperant red on the garnish depending if it was moulded red plastic or not as I don't know but if they are but if not they would be painted on clear plastic on the inside. I suppose the only real way to find out is to pull one appart and have a play with it. Trav man
