What is this world comming too!?

Absolutely disgusting, made my guts churn. I stood at the local RSL for a simple minute to remember our fallen soliders, with tears in my eyes for what these braver than brave men and women did so we can today have EVERYTHING we take for granted. Everything is not an understatement, either...

Mine has been right royally playing up on me the last 12 hours or so, It's McF*cked. First time this spring/summer It's been really bad. I use claratyne or telfast usually. Works well for me.

Doing a burnout in your driveway

What Sashyre said. I love cars and driving as much as anyone else, but nothing pisses me more than people driving look hoons around my quiet little Newcastle suburban street.

Hey guys and gals, Just a quick enquiry. Does anyone know of a manufacturer that sells scale models (of any scale) of VE road cars, particularly SV6 and SS models? Cheers James

    being a postie.

Train driving goes off, It's an awesome paying job. Skillfull yes, high paying yes, shitty hours yes, strenuous NO. Been driving coal trains for just under 2 years now, and you have another bloke (or blokette) with you. Least in NSW, I don't know if there is DOO (Driver Only Operation)...

A home for hoons >>>>what do u think?

Unfortunately, as good as your intentions are mate it just won't happen. This sorta thing doesn't get votes for politicians, as logical as it is to let us use it. But the problem is that the low end of the gene pool who think it's cool to rip doughies and burnouts on public roads all the...

    Worst day ever! :(

As you said mate, last thing we wanna be doing is dragging someone else out. But good on you for doing at least something Dragz. If your lungs still hurt now, i'd recommend getting checked out by a Doctor too. Carbon Monoxide and the vast amount of other **** can be VERY harmful to your lungs...

    Worst day ever! :(

Reason I was being a tad cynical about the oldmates efforts in trying to save someone who was possibly in the house is because he could have quite easily become a casualty. Being in a fire situation like that can, as someone else alluded to above kill someone in literally seconds. The levels...

    Worst day ever! :(

Pretty shitty day if you ask me mate. Usually when we rock up to a house fire like that It's gonna be fairly unlikely there's not going to be much we we can do to save the property from at the very least severe fire and smoke damage. If it happens again though, prob best not to run in even if...

    New Job

As others have mentioned mate, the best way to go about it to be quietly confident about yourself. When you walk into an interview, they (being the interviewers) want to give you the job. It's up to you to prove how you're sufficiently able to do/learn the job by answering the questions...

Vicpol and Vic gov another cash grab?

It's not really, tell me you've never looked through the oldmate's windows infront of you to see if there is a possible need to hit the anchors? How is one supposed to do that with illegal tint. It's like having a cry about getting done for speeding, having bald tyres, blown headlights etc...

Graffiti vandals to scrub own mess as new punishment option

Yeah like the tools that tag up the front of my trains, they get pretty good exposure. But they sure as hell make trying to drive a 10,500t Coal train pretty hard when you can't see out the windows. Also the risk of cleaning up one of these scumbag pieces of dog excretement on a train is very...

    Broken steering wheel controls

Mine's also the volume up button! Then the volume down was also the one to go! While we're on this subject, the steering wheel centre on my VZ has developed a crack around the badge, is it possible to buy a new centre and install it without having to replace the airbag? Which I imagine would...

    The theory of Police cars

Just so you know there VK, there is no such thing as Springwood LAC. It's actually all apart of the Blue Mountains LAC which incorporates the Police stations of Mount Vic, Katoomba and Springwood and also the HWP station at Lawson, which house the LAC's 4 HWP cars :)

    First concert - what band?

First was Kiss/Screaming Jets in 2001 at the Superdome, I was in year 5. Holy Crap it still rates as one of the best ever gigs too. But the best of all time would have to be the first time (of so many) that I saw The Living End. Friday night at the Enmore, just simply amazing.

    Should i contact the police?

I tend to think he meant exactly what he originally said. You don't drive like a tool and the Police won't have a reason to pull you up. Simple. Anyway sorry about the car man, there really are some arseholes in this world arent there? :-(

    P Platers : An Explanation

    Average income per year

I'm very lucky for my age (20) to be earning just under $70k gross a year, that's as a train driver. That's not factoring in any overtime either, and I usually do at least one or two a fortnight.

    BOOMGATE ANNOYANCE..buh bow.

As a train driver myself, please people be patient if the booms at a Level Crossing fail. By design, when the circuiting that operates them fail the gates automatically go down to prevent a case of the gates not going down when there IS actually a train coming the other way. There's...

    Pay Rise For NSW MPs??

My oath they shouldn't be getting paid anywhere near what Rees is getting paid. It's a joke! Perhaps instead of giving themselves a pay rise they could start decreasing the pathetic state of our hospitals, fixing the antiquated rail and road transport "system"........I could be here for...

    smashed ve ute/story inside

I agree with Weedo_86, spare a thought for those of us that have gone and seen the impacts of what speeding and idiotic driving does. Been to a few nasty prangs as a volunteer firey when I was younger and by God I don't wish some of those scenes upon anyone else. However, at the end of the...

    Never learn?

Your mate's an f*ckwit. Plain and simple. It's morons like him that give cat enthusiasts a really unecessery stigma and attract unwarranted attention from the Police. For example, my little brother. Had his licence for less than a week. Quiet suburban street, swerved to "miss a dog"...

    My '05 VZ SV6

Get rid of the standard rims ASAP, you can make an SV6 look about 30,0000000000 times better with a good set of wheels man. Other than that it looks as though it's in top nick! Another green P plater to add to the SV6 ranks haha.
