Whats every ones thoughts on stroker kits for the ls1. I dont want to change blocks as im ocd about matching number cars. I just got a good set of heads of a ve gts ls2 so now to work out if i should stroke it or keep it normal and just throw a strong cam in it

You car is looking really good mate. Nice mods to set it apart from the others. If I were you I would get 20% tint and if your really keen get a windscreen like I have in my ss and it would look great.

Thats the old glue that holds the glass down. The glazier will need to put a new seal down when the glass goes in so its safe to remove it. Get a sharp stanley knife and cut as close to the body and it will be done in no time.

It needs to be redone as mentioned. And while the urethane is still soft it will be easier for them to remove it.

I to would paint it black. But thats also because i put a hsv one on mine and painted it black. I like the idea of the grill. I currently have my lion painted black so will be watching your progress.

Cheers man. I try my best to keep it looking good. Its a bit dirty at the moment tho. These screens are around $400 fitted. Well thats what we charge to fit them at the place i work and our head office is over in perth so it should be the same over there aswell.

So its been really quiet at work the last few days so decided to put a new windscreen in the ss. Its a flash low e windscreen that cuts out uv, inferred light, and helps with night time driving. Its the same as tinting your windscreen but this is legal. It has a purple tinge to it like the top...

Did you put a brand new pump in or a second hand one?

Mine sits at 2400 rpm at 110

Shouldnt be any louder than my ss. So personally i dont think the noise will be a concern

Yeah i can do that. I have a highway trip coming up in friday so can do it then for you. What exhaust system do you have on your ss. Mine is 1 7/8 4 into 1 extractors, hi flow cats and 2 1/2 xforce and mine is comfortable to cruise in.

Ive got 3.9s in my ss and i thought it would be worse but i find it pretty good behind the auto. Highway driving suffers abit in the economy side. But i dont regret getting them one bit.

Got the ss back yesterday. Its looking great again and all the issues are solved and its driving beautifully again. My mate surprised me by installing an aftermarket servo in the auto so it shifts nice and firm. Also ordered a set of ss floor matts which arrived yesterday.

Getting a few things done. Put in a new oem set of engine mounts as the nolethane items gave a wicked vibration in the car. Also put on the new power steering resevior and the pump started to whine due to no baffles so currently getting that sorted. While thats getting done im installing...

The wreckers here generally get the parts for you. But sometimes ace wreckers will let you go and get the parts yourself

Time to do a few small things to the ss. I have ordered new nolothane engine mounts and an aeroflow power steering resevior. Hoping to have them installed tomorrow

I believe you just have to earth it out so it will work all the time

I have a duspeed otr. I like how they look and i got good gains from it. Will you be able to get an otr to work with your lpg system.

So i bought myself a detailing kit from car care products a few weeks ago and today decided was the day to give the ss a good polish. So i went to my work and put the ss into the airconditioned work bay and set at it. Came out looking really good.

Do you have access to all the tools required to remove the window and the stuff required to put it back in. Its not a hard job if you have the right stuff to do it. I do this for a living so feel free to ask what is required.

Another small update. My head deck wouldnt read cds any more and got sick of listening to the radio so i decided to install an aftermarket one. I ended up getting a sony xav-68bt double din one. It a nice unit and is easy to use so im happy. Still havent got around to installing the u/d kit...

I know it would suck but i would be taking it into them to get it done properly. The screen really needs to be removed so they can put the mould back on properly. Also out of curiousity did they even remove the scuttle and wiper blades.

I found the pedal feels firmer but not harder if that makes sence and the system feels more responsive.

So got bored after work today so went and installed the braided brake lines. Didnt take to long and was definatly worth the effort.

So had to get the roof lining fixed as it decided to sag out of no where. Didnt cost to much to get done and only took the place half a day to do it. Still need to install my underdrive kit and my safe brake braided kit.

Vz ls1 only run the 2 o2 sensors. The ls2 run 4. I bought second had di fillipo extractors for my vz ss and had to put two bungs in as it came of a ls2 clubby

Yes vt to vz have the same rear window. Depending on if its a hsv or upper model it may have a arial built into but other than that they all fit in the same.

I run the duspeed on my ss. Imo it looks the best and performs great. Plus i can remove the filter with the otr still on the car.

Yeah i read in your thread surfwagon about the safebrakes and thats why i ended up getting myself a set. And i have a mechanic mate who is going to install my u/d kit. Ive heard they can be a fun job so i am getting him to do it.

Still havent got around to installing my underdrive kit yet. But i have ordered a set of safebrake braided brake lines. Looking forward t9 getting them installed.
