Hi stall torque converter built by...
Cheers for that! I thought they would be a lot bigger! I had it replaced today at no charge. So with any luck I'll get her back tonight and put the new one in.
hey, so i have a 2000 vt berlina ls1 auto, i need to replace the radiator. i ordered one over the phone and it turned up today but it says it is for a vx v6 on the box. will it be the same as the late model vt v8 one or not????
some urgent help would be very useful
cheers
Cheers mate. How are they for price? I have abou 2500. I was pulling it out myself but after slipping and ripping my nail off I got the shits and will get it towed there
So I blew up the box in my vt ls1. I have thebox almost out but I only know of sure shift at Virginia? Anybody know and other trans mobs on the north side. The idea is to fully manualise and strengthen with a hi stall converter.
Hey guys!
So the problem being is that on Saturday I blew the gearbox in my vt berlina. It's a auto ls1. I decided to rip it out myself seeing no body is open till Tuesday. Tailshaft is out. Cross member is out most looms that I can see are disconnected. BUT I seem to be having trouble with...
they are the round things that ur leads run to from ur plugs. 2 nuts on each, and then they lift straight off. easy as to do. from memory i think mine were about $400 for all three.
nope they both different ways of doing it, they commodore injectors drip fuel out of them. the falcon ones spray the fuel, thats the only difference. it just makes the fuel combust a tad better, thats all bud. i got alot better mid out of them, and better economy on tthe highway and around town
for your leads, i would say find some 8 to 10mm stainless leads.
i used to run 10mm top gun leads in my vt supa6. also msd coil packs go alright.
but if ur not lookin for supa fast passes then stick with bosch. they are quality and great price.
rito boys,
ive learnt a lot of little tricks and easy fix solutions from this site so i thought id share a secret of mine.
we all know that our v6 injectors are bosch and that they drip feed rite???
well ford ( please keep reading lol) actually use inectors in the EL model that fit...
rito, so my v6 vr is leakin oil from somwhere about the steering rack, anyone got any ideas on where it might be from or how to fix it????????????
cheers boys.
i did the same conversion, im still runin the auto comp and there was no problem. but it did do it a few times and it turned out to be the crank angle sensor. maybe check that???
i know this is a tad off the subject but when its in gear do u have and movement with the shifter? i have this problem and some ppl have said its normal but i think they're full of it.
oh and as for the turbo. have u ever seen a vy senator in street commies mag? it had two turbs sitting either side of the gearbox, it was impossible to tell it was turbo unless it was on a hoist. just an idea so the blue balls dont get ya. lol
if u were to keep it auto do wat my mate did to his xr6. fully manualised 3 speed box, 4k hi stall and a b&m rachet shifter. it goes good behind 700hp. only ford ive liked.
just wondering if anyone has purchased a heavy duty sway bar link kit off ebay???
they sellin them for like $15. probably **** but just after a comment or too in regards to them.
hey mate, looks good, i bet she moves now ay.
was it hard to swap them over?
im thinkin it would be pretty straightforward like comp, bcm, looms. was there much else?
