Hi everyone, Now I know this has been done to death but does ANYONE own a set? I'm buying them with brand new rubbers for $1600 and would really appreciate it if someone told me they're fine and nothing to be concerned about in regards to the rumours going around with them...

Don't get me wrong, i love the ve's exterior but they went completely wrong with the interior because apparently they had to suit the overseas market. A good example is that pathetic handbrake, wtf were they thinking? It's all turned into plastic.

right so everyone with automatic transmissions are chewing through their brakes? that's the most stupidest thing i've heard.

but what is the point in down shifting? apart from putting strain on the engine/gearbox?

i put it in neutral, why would you down shift when there is an easier alternative?

they're exactly the same car apart from some minor changes. i purchased a vy because i hate the stupid smiley face the vz has and the cheaper looking tail lights, simple as that.

i would definately lean towards the vz clubby, holden went wrong with the interior of the ve's, so cheap looking.

Well I asked him what the usual process is and he said there's no way he would replace the whole panel because it will lose originality of the car. Again, if the repair was still noticeable, why are they still in business? People aren't taking their cars back saying "that will do" are they?
