entry level focals are so much nicer than type R's. just be aware that any aftermarket speaker really needs alot of good clean ampified power to do them justice.

A lot of people expect too much from focal subs. They are very unique in they're sound. Traditionally they are lower & mellowed in output, which a lot of people don't like. Hat being said, I run a single focal 27KX in a 3cuft slot ported box tuned to 33hz in an SQ system.
