I'm not sure dude, I cant upload either of the 2 logs directly to jc. I've attached some screenshots of the logs, before, during and after the problem occuring.

Sorry should have said, its a log recorded with an aldl cable using tunerpro. I could take a video of it happening if it would help.

Just did a laptop run and managed to get it. I've posted the log (only 15 secs long) and the missing happens badly between 6 and 10 seconds. I've been looking at it but not sure what is exactly wrong. If anyone with some knowledge of this stuff could have a quick look it would be great...

Just tested the coil packs, the missing is slightly better but definately still there, I tested 2 different coil packs in each position (I have 2 spares). Am going to try diagnosing with the laptop again, hopefully I'll get somthing usefull. Any other suggestions?

Ok, so I tested the leads and got 4-6k ohms on leads 1,3,5 and 2-3k ohms on leads 2,4,6. Is this low? These are genuine holden leads and have been in there for a while. Checked the fuel filter, looked ok Managed to get a spare coil, will replace one at a time and do a test drive tomorrow...

Thanks for the replies Scuffing the whole bonnet and blending the repair sounds a lil tricky but will def look into it. Full bonnet respray seems to be popular so will consider it.

I've had terrible fuel economy since i got the car 2 years ago, I re-earthed the oxygen sensors and have seen an improvement in fuel consumption. Its a known issue with the vs as it was the 1st to use a 4 wire 02 sensor (as opposed to a 2 wire) with a heater built in. Might be worth a look...

Pretty much what was said above. I got a 2 1/4 in exhaust with resi, sounds alright and isnt a bad way to go. Lowering can be cool but keep in mind practicallity. A nice sets of rims sets off a car pretty nice as well.

Looks like what happened to mine last week. The metal backing plate that the front bumber is attached to has moved. I found that the supports that hold it in place had bent. I took off the front bumber, heated up the support with a blow torch and hit it back straight with a hammer. Not perfect...

It's not that bad actually, upto 3000rpm it has an alright tone and a nice rumble at idle, slight drone but i don't mind it. I'll try get vid up when i get home tonight. And yeh, car is pretty much stock besides what i mentioned before.

That fault code is from a dead coil pack from a few weeks ago, i'll clear it tomorrow, and yeh, i'll replace the o2 sensor this week, thanks mate. Anything else you notice thats not right?

I bought the aldl cable and have a full version of efi live to go with it. Went along the motorway today with it recording data to try find the source of my high fuel usage. I attached a picture of a print screen below and it shows no reading from my right o2 sensor... does that mean its dead...
