hey guys figured out why the fuel was heating up so much so hears the deal, fuel system goes from stock pump to surge tank, (8l surge) then 2x 044 pumps go to the fuel reg and then to the fuel rails. problem being my return feed from the fuel reg (not the motor as its a returnless system) goes...

yea im prety sure the tanks are different but i cant find anything on the fuel bucket/pump setups. surely they would be the same, i couldnt imagine holden making them different.

finaly holden will start competeing with fords turbo range, now they need to bring there v6 into the 21st centry. and i realy hope they inlude direct ipod controll in their technology advancments

just curious if the sedan and the ute fuel tanks are the same size/shape and more importantly if they have the same fuel bucket. (about to upgrade to intank setup)

i rekon iv spent over 30k on mine so it can be quicker than an skyline and an everyday driver, still have alota traction issues when trying to race one, bout 15k top and bottom end, 10k turbo kit, 2k clutch 2k fuel system, 2k on custom exhaust, 2k suspension, brakes, mod plates the list goes on...

anyone any ideas?

hey guys im contemplating overhauling my fuel system, (along with the bottem end of my ve ss) im running a t1000 turbo kit and currently have 2 external bosch 044s on a 1 way fuel system, with a standered fuel reg, problem being is after driving it for a bit (until it gets hot) the fuel pumps...

had this problem with my ve, definatly sounds like leads or plugs. get some new plugs and see how they go. check where the leads plug onto the coil packs and spark plugs also. hopefuly it dosent lead to a more serious problem.

iv got a turbo ssv which has been stoked to a 6.6l. you wont get much change from 10k just building your bottom end up to handle the boost. you can run turbo on stock bottom end but it will probably eventualy fail and cost you more. im running a single turbo ase kit with some modification, and...

yea il drop in one arvo after work, iv seen there work its quite good. i havnt heard anything bad about them.

the interior is abit different, the front bar is slightly different, not alot of difference i dont think.

haha dosent take long at all wen u have a massive turbo heating everything up. i dont think im goin to worry about a thermostat anyone had any problems with or without one? i was also cosidering using a tubular style oil cooler anyone had any experiances with one of these?

yea the front mount is hard up to the radiator, there is room behind the top grill, though it will be infront of the radiator, which is already being comprimised by the front mount, i was considering removing the fog lights and putting it there, mabe bit of custom bar work, im not sure how...

yea i got a massive front mount intercooler on the front lower grill.

yea thanks mate, where are you goin to put your intercooler? and yea i looked into getting a kit and found it cheaper, easier and can get better parts for less than the kits worth. i think i got my adaptor from ase, not sure how its goin to fit with the custom exhaust iv got but it mite sqeeze...

ok, im just not exactly sure on where the heat is coming from, im guessing majority from before the fuel reg, as the surge tank is getting very hot aswel so the hot fuel must be flowing back, im just seeing where or if ayone has had simular problems as there are a few turbo setups on here

just to add to that, mabe think about getting/making a larger coolant resivour than the one that ase provides, and power wise im making around 470rwkw on 10psi
