    Well the other thought I have is a Harrop 2300 blower, heads and cam. Not should do the trick, won't do breaks till later....I mean who needs to sop.

    I just wrote this mammoth post and it freakin deleted it. Low and level would be the idea but since it is a daily not to low. If I installed an LS3 i guess it wouldnt really be a future classic anymore.

    Thanks mate, researching tonight actually but I may have some bad news. I might sell the Monaro and go for something with a few more horses.... Yes, thats right. Either that or convert it to a LS3..... How people are going to tell me not to do this.

    Well my 03 Monaro was getting 21 - 22 around town and 15 on the hwy. After the tune I get about 17 city a 8 on the hwy. It's all in the right foot.

    engine belt farrkd!!!

    Small recommendation, there are 2 types to the Ecotec engines so when you get the belt quote your VIN number. Put the belt on on all tentionsers except the water pump as this pulley has no lip to it. I have fitted many of these on my car.

    Exactly, with those mods standard is around the 235 mark. If you getting that sort of figure from these bolt on mods then nothing would be able to catch you on the road. Get a speed test done on another dyno.

    Hold on, so no OTR CAI an you pulling 253 at the wheels from a 5.7, is the dyno the calibrated properly.

    I wood agree, 10-15 at the most and you must have already got a tune done like a MAF custom edit. With these standard bolt ons I would say 230 plus at the wheels. Upgrade the valve springs as the stock ones tend to chatter a bit might get you another 5kw. If you want the at 270 at the wheels...

    That's a big increase with just an exhaust upgrade. I have a full sports exhaust with high flow cats and tune and only got 230 at the wheels. I would expect 260 to 270 if I installe a can but not just if an exhaust upgrade.

    My Monaro was stock and pulling 170ish at the wheels. After a full 2.5" exhaust was at 190 and after the mafless tune with Duspeed OTR it's now at 230 at the wheels and added 160 nm of torque. It wa a new car after the tune and well worth the $$$ spent. Chev did a great job on the tune.

    So I have searched the site and the web and haven't really found a decent oil catch can for my ls1. With slot if stop start driving the throttle with start to stick a little so I think a non ventilated will prevent this from getting worse. It's a N/A Engine with dusspeed it's and madness...

    The system I have now is a twin system but from the sounds of it the KPM system sounds like the better option. Will pop down and see Chev on the weekend and listen to one of the twin 3" stainless systems.

    Scratching noise on window movement.

    Hi all, On the Monaro drivers side window whenever it goes up or down there is a slight scratching noise. It's even slighty damaged the window. Has anyone had this, if so how did you fix it?

    New Flutted Monaro Bonnet

    Tell me about it, but this s gold. I was told by Holden that the bonnet will not fit as it will over hang on the guards. So, $290 per guard. I have never heard this before and it's going on a VY monaro and not a sedan. Any help would be appreciated.

    I would love to but since this is a daily driver and involves crappy drive to work avoiding Nissan Micras is one thing but speed bumps are a plenty. Am thinking about it though.

    Big thanks to you for the advice as well, Gary has a wealth of knowledge and looks after you and your car like it's his own. Pulling 230rwk and I am Impressed but I think cam and heads could be next after I get a new clutch that is.

    Thanks mate, feels alot stronger and the induction noise is addictive. Next on the list is upgrade to a CAT back 3" Pacemaker system and a fluted bonnet.
