Yeah I can still put stuff in the back but it then sits on the bump stops, I'd be a bit skeptical about using wagon bump stops and cutting the existing ones off

You can get lowered bump stops or just get regular ones and cut them down, I did this and they stop that harsh metal bumping but it's pretty rough ride

It could be the power feed from the battery to the fuse box in the engine bay, if you've had the motor out you might missed this cable

You should get one, I got one and it's great, they look really good if their colour matched to your car. But as stated above the fibreglass ones are pretty heavy
