    putting a getrag 290 into a vc commodore

    Surely you could use your cable set up.Just need a cable bell housing and pull type clutch fork. I believe that would be right but I could be wrong as I have never done it. VLS had a hydraulic clutch and up to VS they are cable?

    Yeah one is off master cylinder. I have one of those under the bonnet with nothing plugged in.Car runs so i presume its for something an SLE had in it?

    When I put a Sports dash in my 6cyl VH the wires for Oil pressure and amps were there. Make sure the are connected right and I had to change sender unit. No t piece involved. Just a wire.

    Dont go by the books. Been down that road.measure a bit of string. My supercheap is only 1.5 kms away and had to exchage it 3 times till I got the right belt.

    Headlight relay

    I run 55/100 watt bulbs in my VH and have wired in a relay to high beam. What a difference. Turned night into day.

    It would need a mod plate in QLD and P platers cant drive a mod plated car up here. It maybe the same in your State.

    fuel tanks

    I installed a VS tank in my VH using the VS straps. Sender units are different but wires up ok and they have a return line and internal fuel pump that I left in the tank as it forms part of the fuel intake.I left the fuel pump disconnected from a power source.

    I am running a 600 holley on my 253 as i coundnt get the Quadrajet to work. Going to a 3.08 10 diff soon. That should make take off a lot better.

    Brake master cylinder identification

    I changed the booster and master cylinder from a 6Cyl to one from a V8. Bolted up no probs, Had to as I am now running rear disc brakes.

    When I Registered MY 81 Vh they coundnt find the VIN, It was full of paint on the Radiator support Panel right were it should be.

    Not sure on Kframe but I believe they are the same. Would have to change the whole front end and diff housing and brakes to make it legal.I know its all different to a 6cyl. Need someone on here who has done it to comment.

    Just read on Dept Transport QLD site.Exactly what Darren says. Turbo is 1100kg by 3 meaning you can only turbo a 202.But that may be with out a Mod Plate.

    Auto 202 dies under low load help!

    Check there is no kink in your fuel line around the fuel filter and tank. I had a prob today running for 1km then stopping. The fuel line under the filter was kinked. Also check that there is no crack in your fuel filter ,line in and out.You can bypass the computer by using a VH dizzie.

    No vacuum on VB to VH. All cable operated.If I leave the bottom vent open air come through from outside and my floor gets a bit warm from now running a V8.Try insulating your floor and check that the heater is actually properly turned off.

    If the Chassis number punched into your body doesnt match the plate that says Month, year and seating capacity then it has been re tagged which could mean anything.Get the stamped number checked to see if it has been stolen.

    I have NO idea. I took mine off and fitted a 32/36 weber and never looked back. Mechanical secondaries and was very fuel efficient.Still have it just not using it. Running a 253 with a 600 holley now.
