yeah it does drone but im used to it now so it doesnt bother me. like it not an unbearable drone in the cabin....and yeah likewise it has that good hum at idle but not loud like a v8. im really happy with my setup but likewise im going to put a some pacemakers and hi flows on just to give that...

ive got a 2 1/4 on my vz wagon, gives it a good note when you give it a boot, crackles a little bit when dropped rev but no noise really at idle unless cold, mine also has a hotdog at front and sports muffler at rear. i got told that it would be best but have also heard that 2.5 is good...

haha...well ill go against the request of GetToDaChopa and say the vy gts rims look the best on your car IMO....and yeah lowering it would just set it off that much more but entirely up to you

awesome....ive been thinking of putting these in my vz wagon for a while but was unsure as to whether or not they were any good.

do you have to have climate control to have these work properly or...? as ive seen somewhere in my travels through the forums that you need to have a car with climate control. i think they looks sweet so im really keen to get one fitted to my car but want to know if it will work first.

i had the same problem a while back. i found that it was the little red thing in the door lock on the inside that pops out the top of the door trim. i found that it had lost its grip on the rod that it connects onto and was not moving with the mechanism when you lock or unlock the car. check...

im open to any muffler that will gie a good note and make the drone go away a tad, i dont expect it to go away all together but if something can be put on that will keep a good sound and remove a bit of the rone id be happy as larry

what do you advise as the best set up then? the bloke from the zrst joint said that he was going to put a 2 1/4 on it and then got under the car and said that a 2 1/2 would suit my wagon better for some reason. he also said that he hasnt come across a car with that setup that has droned...

it has one muffler right at the rear. so your saying another muffler somewhere along the exhaust will quietenthe drone down a bit. but will it still give it a note or will it be as quiet as the stock exhaust?

i have a single straight through to dual oulet muffler at the very end of the zorst. is that what you mean?

i got a 2 1/2 cat back exhaust with hotdogs fitted the other day, since been fitted it now has an aweful drone at about 1800rpm at about 100km/h which is the worst for cruising and is driving me insane. is there any way to fix this problem without removing my new exhaust?

i have also heard that in the wagons that a think blanket or something might help keep the drone down a bit as the spare wheel well acts as an area for echo to occur and by putting a blanket in there might reduce the space resulting in less drone. have you tried that? i really dont want to have...

2 1/4 twin straight through. asked for it to go into single 3 inch but the zorst bloke again told me that there in no point.

im getting a 2 1/4 on my vz wagn cat back exhaust custom fitted and aparently thats the way to go. asked for a 2 1/2 and the zorst shop said the same thing, it would breath too freely, and that the v6's dont need that much.

looking at doing the 2 hole mod and putting in k&n filter aswell.....just curious though, with the 2 hole mod, without the second pipe (meaning just cutting the hole) does it suck in hot air. and do your really need to get a monaro thingo or can you do without it. ive read alot of those posts...

so after fitting new exhaust you have to get the car retuned to get the most out of it, or can you just disconnect the battery for 10 mins like someone said up further and that will fix any problems.? if needs a tune how much roughly does that cost?

about 100 on ebay...but you gotta make sure you get the right one for you...like year of your car, coz there is a few different shapes. im after the same for my wagon but not sure what number it corresponds with that will fit it...any help would be good, i got a 05 vz 6cyl wagon...cheers

hey guys got the car booked in for a system to be hooked up, 2 1/4 twins to 2 1/2 twins. but i got a question. do you need to change the headers to get a descent note out of it and get the most out of it or not? and will geting a k&n air filter make it breathe better giving it a bit more up and go?
