Did your gauges come with that magnetic control button? You only want the big plug which has 6 wires I believe. If your doing this install jump on carmodder and search hsv ve gauges install

There's one on eBay there about 250 to 400 depending on condition. That's series 1.

Why don't u just put it in neutral and put the hand brake on and the see if the car moves.
