    Cig Lighter powerboard thing

Hey I got one of those cigarette lighter powerboard thingos for about 4 bucks on Ebay, and I'm not sure if it's gonna stuff up the circuit if I use a phone charger, gps and an ipod charger at once? Is it likely to bust the fuse or would the thing itself be fused?

    Model Engines

those links are all really cool, i'm definitely keen on buying one soon. mind you, it'd be cheaper to buy a dud car from a wrecker and get that engine running again on a benchtop lol

VT COMMODORE.taking right front guard off...

I used tin snips to take one off an EF once. but that was because I didn't want to drop the lights and bumper to get at the bolt head underneath. Maybe move to right section as well?

    Model Engines

I came across this tonight on the interwebs, and got really interested all of a sudden... Gallery Does anyone know of places in Australia that sell complete kits like this? So that it'd be an assembly job as opposed to a machining and assembly job like the link.. And a rough cost? I think...

    First time camping

It sounds like you're already ready to go, but rental gear can be a good idea the frist time round to see if you like it...

    dam speedo

what manual is that from? cause i'd go as far as buying one for that sort of info about the car
  14. nstone63

    Is Something Wrong?

My VN is the same, put your foot down hard to overtake and you end up waiting a second or so for the gear change down then you overtake

    Petrol Station Air Compressors

The biggest problem I've had with the old style 'manual' servo compressors is that a lot of the staff know nothing about them.. I had my car there a while back to pump the tyres up, and I hit the lever as I was upwrapping the hose and no joke, enough water came out of the line to fill up a pint...

Cold Liquid Dripping onto Left Foot

my VN did/does the same.. Air con drain pipes are probably clogged. You can get at them from under the car, just forward of the transmission (in my car anyway, I'm assuming it's pretty similar) or the hard way like I did by taking the whole dash out as a side note, i already had the dash...

    [VIC] Trailer storing question

yeah mates of mine have had police ring them before to move their cars.. even though they've been legally parked, people complained about it being a hazard (blind corner, over a crest etc.) and that got it moved.. then there's the seedy option of stealing it and dumping it yourself, but don't...

    hitting a island/sign at 80km - what damages?

if you 'didnt see it coming' that counts as being stupid in my opinion.. if you're driving sensibly you should be paying better attention

how to add a 26" screen to a ve commy boot lid

as a side point, I was just thinking how would it fare opening/closing the boot? Could the jolt in closing it be enough to put a crack in the screen, and how could you protect it if it could be a problem?

    Cant get p-plate off

I always thought that those warnings on the pack "do not leave on vehicle overnight or for extended periods" was a joke.. My cousin had some luck using one of those non slip cloths, like the sort that are a grippy lattice type thing. They sell them as jar lid grippers as well.. he used it to...

    Riveting on front number plate?

Hit up coventry fasteners for security fasteners, and they'll sell you the security bit to undo them too.. snake eye drive ones are probably the best go off the top of my head

    [VIC] Trailer storing question

If you're gonna do it in a backstreet, you should be fine unless any neighbours complain to the council/police.. I see them all the time chained to stobie poles lol, just make sure you get one of those trailer coupler lock thingos so nobody ganks it. Mind you, they could steal it by just...

    Cordless air sprayer?

yeah it looks pretty useless for anything presentable, we're probably gonna get one at work to paint steelwork when we go into the holden plant as they don't let you take any aerosol cans in there. loophole ftw

240SX Crushed As Memorial To Owner's Death

If my car was worth any decent amount, i'd put in the will to sell it to cover the funeral costs etc., otherwise just do whatever with it- sell it, give it away, wreck it

    Cordless air sprayer?

Has anyone checked these out? I was just down at dulux picking up some work stuff and they've just brought them into stock. I wonder how good they'd be? Not that I'd get one lol

Products aren't what they used to be these days!!

+1 lol, we stopped using it as work, now we've got this stuff that's almost caustic as a replacement My Blundstone elastic side boots used to be the best work boots I ever had- lasted 2 years getting thrashed every week day and most weekends, I bought a new pair about 3 months ago and the...

    Who hit my car??

I've had my left side sideswiped 3 times at home (live in a unit block).. it makes me stop giving a **** about it- now I just look after the interior and keep the outside clean rather than fix anything cosmetic. Now there's 3 different colours of paint scraped into my passenger door.. There...

Refused Insurance to drive VE SV6

Lol, I've been driving for 5 years and I don't think I've got mad skills... But, If you're trying to get the car insured, wouldn't the cost be kind of prohibitive at 15? I wouldn't have asked my old man to pay that when I was 15

    AC Fan Motor

So after two days of pulling **** apart, it was the foam sealing tape around the fan motor. It (being old) had degraded enough for the heat from the motor to start melting it. Lol what a pathetic problem.. On the plus side, I drained about 3L of water from the air con system, now I don't get...

    AC Fan Motor

So my air con fan just died.. filled the car with smoke out of the centre AC vents and demister vents... Gotta shoot to the wreckers tomorrow morning, has anyone replaced one before? Apparently it's a bitch to do? Any help or advice would be great (photos would be amazing). It really sucks...
