Yes the SII Calais has the G meter on the HUD. I rarely ever change the HUD from the tacho....

My brothers 6.0l VE averaging about 30km p/h is getting around the 17l/100km mark. My VFII 6.2l averaging 38km p/h is getting a solid 14.2l/100km. Close to 500km per tank. I generally don't bother with traffic light drags and drive like a Nana on the commute as there is just no point...

Turns out pulling the relay identified a squeaky valve in my left pipe. Had been driving me absolutely crazy. This tiny "Chirp" when slowing to a set of lights... I had been thinking that it was a brake piston getting somewhat stuck.... Squirted some lube up the pipe as you do... sorted.

What dafaq!!! 3k for that Alpine unit?!! So mylink has its fair share of issues..but I wouldn't say three thousand dollars worth.. Actually... going through the spec pdf on the unit... it is a substantial piece of kit.

A few tuners will re-use the factory bi-models and wire them back in on the new rear mufflers so you can still control it through the dash. C&A do this in Melbourne with their 385 package. Even listed as a mod on the website.

The indexing is interesting how it is so different for each user. I threw a couple more hundred files at it last night. I find that it indexes the at next startup when the drive is installed. Each time after that it indexes on startup for 5-10 seconds max. Also remembers and restarts playback...

I find it somewhat crazy that any map updates are not handled automatically via 4g mobile connection. At least they should really be a standard part of a 15000km service, for the warranty period of the vehicle... at least. It should not be a drama for a customer to get an update like this...

Today I purchased an ex GM 2016 CalaisV V8 with 20000kms on the clock for $45k drive away. The thing is absolutely mint inside and out. Heron.. Kinda beside myself considering it is the upgrade for an old VZ 3.6ltr. Oh the noise it makes.... That wonderful, wonderful noise.
