Motors these days are actually quality tested and run in prior to being put into the car - Check youtube for the construction of a VE, they actually show you.

Same thing happens to me, you get use to it. Holden told me they couldn't find the problem in my SV6, said there was a problem in SOME v8's but wouldn't entertain the idea of it being in a v6.

rofl, don't worry about it Darks, I had to read the manual to figure that part out too. Am too use to European cars and didn't want to break the transmission going nuts pushing into left - like the design shows, push left and it should work.. Was a funny moment for me too ;)

Couple of things to consider: Will it simply use a stand-alone system and AUX? Will it make use of RCA outputs and there by require a modification to the Headunit to get those outputs? Will it make use of Steering wheel controls; how? Folder navigation, will it display on the LCD with ease...

USB (iPOD) would have to work with the steering wheel controls.

Actually the iPod is a stand alone device which does remember what to output. A USB device is a Hard Drive. You turn on a hard drive it starts reading from sector 0, not were it last read from. Makes a lot of sense in my mind.

Tinsnips, do you know of the techline numbers? The dudes at Preston Holden (Essendon) haven't seen this occur and they're running the line it only happens to v8's. Not v6's. Cheers
