Nah, you have to take off the rear parcel shelf because they are clipped in from underneath. So that means take out the rear seats and then the parcel shelf. What a bitch of a job to get my speakers out!

It's the Crank Angle Sensor. I had the exact same problem in my VT. $200 at your local mechanic for a new one, don't go to Holden, they'll rort ya!

Im put Monaro headys in my car yesterday. I have a VT and I had to take off the front bumper (hsv kit) and take the battery out aswell. Removing the front bumper is a matter of 5 or 7 screws that you un-do. Have a mate as that bloke said so you don't drop the bar onto the ground!

Had same problem in my vtII, dash symbol lights were on all the time. If the dash lights are coming up you might be due for a new ABS module. Expensive, around $800 fitted at a mechanic.
