Yeah mate it was from where the output of the torque converter hooks into the input of the transmission, last time I did a gearbox swap I didn't fit it in properly and it eventually snapped the coupling. After the noise started the gearbox went on me about 3-4 days later

Every new car these days looks the same, interior of the latest falcons commodores even camrys etc are all identical. Now all the exterior of the cars are all trending to the same "european" styling. Where's the originality gone? I miss the good old days when a car was more than just a car.

I thought it might've been the exhaust but it definitely sounds like its from the bellhousing. If it was a cracked flexplate wouldn't that shudder the car when driving?

So I fired up the car today and heard this weird noise from the car, it seems loudest around the transmission bell housing. Car seems to drive fine though. The noise increases as per rpm. Not sure how to describe the noise but here's a video Anyone have any ideas how to fix it?

Yeah not gonna blow that on this car lol, I'm thinking maybe a second hand one. Last time I changed a tranny I did it when I was changing the engine so pulled it out with the hoist. Is it difficult to do a swap without pulling the motor out just slide it under the car?

What sort of condition is the auto in? Any gear slipage or shift problems? Also what suburb?

I have found that on the vx it feels easier to push your foot down on the brake pedal but on my vt theres a bit of resistance. Any ideas?

Yeah they are. From what I've read it sounds like there could be air in the lines. The ill bleed them and see how they go.
