Is the stuffed lift pump a Walbro by any chance? Never had any luck with them, several of my mates have had them fail too. Now I stick to Bosch, Aeromotive and Magnafuel.

I had the brake vacuum reservoir in my VN and it fixed my issues. Would require lots of pedal idling up to red lights prior but after it was sweet even at idle. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

No way this thing weighs 1500kg. 1370kg is like manual VN 5.0L weight as listed by Holden who always underrate their weights. I'd say it would be close to 1700kg. That and the fact you won't get traction without quite a bit of suspension tweaks and trial and error I would say high 10's would be...

You'll be fine until you fit drag tyres to it. Then you'll probably want to do more racing anyway and a new box will almost be a certainty then. No reason they can't last on the street though, traction will be the defining factor. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

    koni shocks help...

Not sure which the part numbers are for but the yellows are adjustable for compression via a little knob on top. The reds you have to remove the shock at one end and turn the body to adjust, hence the yellows are dearer. They're also valved differently. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

Don't know which tyres to get.

I cannot believe people actually rate the factory bridgestones as a track tyre lol. Have any of you actually ever run R compound tyres before? How can you judge performance tyres when you have only tested 2 types? I've had Dunlop SP's, Khumo Ku36's and normal Ecsta, Toyo Trampio's and R1R's...

Don't know which tyres to get.

Depends on what you want for a tyre. I favor dry grip over all but you won't get 80k km out of a set of Hankook Ventus RS3's like I would suggest. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

Exhaust Selection: Sureflo Exhaust or Extracted Performance Exhausts

I think I'm gonna get a set of these sureflo headers and ballistic cats after some more reading up on them. They're kinda a medium length primary header but what power lost there is probably made up in the better collector size and design than most other headers. The good ground clearance is a...

Exhaust Selection: Sureflo Exhaust or Extracted Performance Exhausts

Sureflow headers aren't long tubes are they? So you're getting high ground clearance due to cats being in the stock location but sacrificing power over a set of Pacemaker long tubes for example. In this case I have my doubts as to the cost effeciveness over the stock HSV 4 into 1 shorties. What...

Engine oil test, many brands (with pics)

Problem is the average person wouldn't notice a difference between the crappiest oil and a good one. People like us have to figure out what our modified performance vehicle's require and go from there. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

Engine oil test, many brands (with pics)

Yes of course, that's pretty obvious isn't it? But we're still just blindly trusting the oil companies, like royal purple for example with added "synnerlec" dafuq is that? Penrite with "extra 10". And many with added Zinc. How do we know it's not bullshit? We don't because there is no...

Ever realised that none of it is required in Australia. They could slap whatever they like on the side of he bottle and be within the law here. Australia has NO regulation standards for motor oil. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

    Hm Headers Exhaust

Xforce exhausts flow alright and sound ok but their headers and cats aren't real flash. Engine oil test, many brands (with pics)

Problem with oils is there is no standardised testing and they can claim anything they want. Basically just use what has a good reputation for results in your particular engine. I use Fuchs because it's been good for me and many racers over the years. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

    handling. ve versus previous models??

Honestly, I have a VN that is essentially a circuit car, it holds it's own against the rwd jap cars at track days in the corners and smokes most of them in the straights. My new VE GTS is stock standard and I think it's already about 80% as good as my VN in the handling department. With some...

    Best tyres to get ?

Depends on what you want in a tyre too. For all out grip you will need a tyre with a low tread wear rating and hence they won't last long. If you don't value grip as much as longevity then cheaper brands often are the go. When going nasty cheap though like Wanli tyres you will often find...
