I think I've made the decision to buy the senator and keep the VL. I even got the nod from the missus :dance: The senator will do for a nice car to cruise around in and take to the strip occasionally and the VL will be an ongoing project that will see the track as often as possible. Still...

I keep having the same argument with myself over and over. I know the GTR has potential as an investment later on in life but I don't know if i can justify spending that amount right now, ment to be saving for a house etc. BUT I REALLY WANT ONE!

Hmmm so apparently the guts out of a vn diff wont fit into the hemisphere of a vl diff. Pulled my diff apart and went to put my LOKKA brand center in now a have 28 spline axles to fit it and it wouldn't fit :( Gonna have to get a complete vn center to put into the vl housing so i can use the...

Also scored a beat up berlina with really tidy interior for $500 Going to do a full interior change over and steal the power steering and maybe the cruise control once the weather clears up a bit then turn it into a rally bus. So watch this space for more photos and updates.

Scored a full vl turbo lsd for $450 on saturday, came with both turbo and v8 ratios. going to get a rough quote on getting the front end all fixed up today and hopefully have it all done in the next month or so.

looking at upgrading the rb30 in my vl. Wanna get a garret turbo or similar and run it on a decent manifold. I've got a second hand aftermarket manifold now but its already cracked once. I'm pretty sure its just a cheap ebay one tho.

Has anyone used a 6boost manifold? Wanna know if their as good as their ment to be. Is it justifiable spending the bit extra on their manifolds? Is their much reduction in spool time?

Has anyone on here heard much about borg warner turbos or used one? Apparently their pretty big in the states. Price tag is about the same as a garret.

WHOOO its done! well nearly, Took it for my first drive today and its awesome. Still got change the fuel pump and figure out why the waste gate isn't opening properly. Want to set it to 10psi but i can't get it below 14, the wastegates ment to go down to 8psi sooo yeah bit of tinkering to sort...

I did this in m old vp before i converted it too manual... Got annoyed, held it on the limiter and slamed it into 1st. Did sfa just reved and did a little chirp and made me look like a clown

Just a dummy fitting of the turbo and manifold. moved the throttle body from where it was with the supercharger. Some vn intake piping to get the bend i needed. Not sure if it will hold up under boost tho. Dump pipe all tacked together. All up its cost me just shy of a grand...

I would have fallen asleep if it weren't for all the dang horns!!

So all the supercharger gear is all off. Just dummie fitting the turbo and manifold trying to figure out what bends i need. Also moved the throttle body. Wont be long now, Dad wants it out of his driveway asap so he can work on his torrie lol

thanks nath :D Yeah the strip needs to come off and be put on properly too cause it flaps a bit at one end. It's just a reflection and there's still water sitting in there. I only washed it 5 minutes before hand.

Took it out to my mates place and we washed our cars and had a photo shoot :D i took this by standing on the back of his ute and leaning oddly... i nearly fell off but it was worth it lol only the one photo tonight will put up some more soon

Turbo turnt up the other day. Just a few more bits and pieces to go.... getting keen

So i got sick of the crappy jd door skins and the dirty white so i put calais skins in... looks so much better already. Speakers are all in and sound awesome just need a decent amp to run my sub. Ordered a turbo so that should be here soon. :D getting excited to bolt it on lol

How hard were the bonnet lifters to put in? Looks like you just bolted it to the bonnet hinge and used one of the bolt holes in the guard?
