Pretty much finished it :)

So it is not finished, but I thought an update would be nice :) 3D printing is so cool.

So I have no idea if anyone is still following this thread but if they are good things are on the way. A Mate got a 3D printer the other day (this is going to be fun :) ) My hope is to create a complete faceplate to replace the stock Omega plate, if it works I will upload the design and share it...

I got a SS grille and cut out all the mesh, then replaced it with the SSV mesh as above, I attached this new mesh with epoxy then sanded it back.

Thanks Mate, I just went at it with my Dremel but you really don't need to cut much out of it, just enough to pull your wiring loom through. From memory it was pretty easy to mount in there just a couple of screws through the glove box plastic I think, pretty self explanatory when you pull it...

Hey Mate, The exhaust can be a bit of a bitch to change, the O2 sensors can get really stuck, it should only cost about $100 tops to get it fitted. If you want to do it yourself your going to need to elevate you car somehow. I drove mine up on bricks and it worked fine but still wasn't a fun...

Cheers Mate, got em sorted, I replaced bank 1 sensor 2 and bank 2 sensor 2. two genuine sensors from Holden cost $250, A bit of a rip but needed them today. old vs new Diagram showing which O2 sensor is which.

Depends what you want from it, I have had a good experience with the "ELM327" units. I have had the USB, WIFI and bluetooth units and they all work fine on the VE.

Stuff it all go full custom :) But out of the two options i would go IQ just because of the way it looks and integrates, not to many of these guys have had to use the touchscreen HVAC controls, I did for about a year and trust me they are annoying and distracting.

Yep I have used one, I think the brand was dod or something like that, pretty easy mod. Just run some wires from the "smokers kit" plug near the HU up the A pillar and then between the roof lining and the windscreen.

I sanded the corners where the red circles are and used wood screws to hold in the middle where the blue circles are. Oh and i added a couple of screws underneath to hold the lower section up. Mined you this was with a G8 diffuser (but still should apply)

Hey Lads, Does anyone know the final drive ratios for a 4 speed 3.6L Omega? I'm using DashCommand and it requires this info for some readouts, I need the axle ratio and the ratio for all 4 gears. Thanks

Thanks for the input Guys, the battery is only a year or so old. I was thinking the same as Shorty if the starter motor is engaging as it was I don't think it would be a voltage problem. Also I don't think it was a dirty fuel problem either because I had driven about 300km on the current tank...

AFM = Active Fuel Management, they changed the rear mufflers so they would not drone when they dropped down to 4 cylinders. If you get an SS exhaust just check and see if it has an AFM badge on the car if it does you are sweet. the pipes are one long section + two mufflers. The ute mufflers...

Thanks Mate, yep the list on page 4 is what you need. its all bolt on/off. Just don't get a non AFM SS exhaust it will drone.

Ok so aslong as the LCD is connected to the facia with a ribbon cable or plug (not soldered) you could pick up a facia from Ebay, remove the LCD from it and put it back in your stock facia. This would avoid reprogramming and would only cost around $150 and you would get new clips too :)

iPad mini install!! :) But for real Mate thats a nice looking Omega well done! A lot of work has gone in to this and it looks tops. Oh but HIDs in reflectors :-/ should get the SSV headlights ASAP.
