P.S - I have a steel tray and its pretty heavy compared to my mates old tonner with the alloy tray, but mine's tougher ;-)

Not many differences between VY and VZ one tonners other than the engine. If you dont require heavy duty use out of the tray, go for an alloy tray. The chassis is a fair bit heavier than the standard ute due to its payload - heavier ute = worse fuel economy . . . . My 2c worth. .
